Description

An overview of the attributes of God, including his power, wisdom, holiness, love, faithfulness, justice and wrath.

Verses

  • Jeremiah 10:12: The LORD is the one who by his power made the earth. He is the one who by his wisdom established the world. And by his understanding he spread out the skies.

  • Isaiah 40:13: Who comprehends the mind of the LORD, or gives him instruction as his counselor?

  • Romans 11:33: Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how fathomless his ways!

  • Isaiah 6:3: They called out to one another, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord who commands armies! His majestic splendor fills the entire earth!"

  • 1 John 1:5: Now this is the gospel message we have heard from him and announce to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.

  • Psalm 103:8: The LORD is compassionate and merciful; he is patient and demonstrates great loyal love.

  • 1 John 4:8: The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

  • Numbers 23:19: God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a human being, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it happen?

  • Lamentations 3:22-23: The LORD's loyal kindness never ceases; his compassions never end. They are fresh every morning; your faithfulness is abundant!

  • Psalm 140:12: I know that the LORD defends the cause of the oppressed and vindicates the poor.

  • Psalm 7:11: God is a just judge; he is angry throughout the day.

  • Romans 12:19: Do not avenge yourselves, dear friends, but give place to God's wrath, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay," says the Lord.

  • Psalm 33:5: The LORD promotes equity and justice; the LORD's faithfulness extends throughout the earth.
