Verses

  • John 5:39: You study the scriptures thoroughly because you think in them you possess eternal life, and it is these same scriptures that testify about me,

  • Luke 24:25-27: So he said to them, "You foolish people - how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Wasn't it necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and enter into his glory?" Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things written about himself in all the scriptures.

  • Luke 24:44-47: Then he said to them, "These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled." Then he opened their minds so they could understand the scriptures, and said to them, "Thus it stands written that the Christ would suffer and would rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

  • Acts 10:43: About him all the prophets testify, that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

  • John 5:45-47: "Do not suppose that I will accuse you before the Father. The one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have placed your hope. If you believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me. But if you do not believe what Moses wrote, how will you believe my words?"

  • John 1:34: I have both seen and testified that this man is the Chosen One of God."

  • John 5:18: For this reason the Jewish leaders were trying even harder to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was also calling God his own Father, thus making himself equal with God.

  • Luke 22:70-71: So they all said, "Are you the Son of God, then?" He answered them, "You say that I am." Then they said, "Why do we need further testimony? We have heard it ourselves from his own lips!"

  • Hebrews 1:8: but of the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and a righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom.

  • Matthew 16:15-16: He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

  • 2 Peter 1:1: From Simeon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, have been granted a faith just as precious as ours.

  • John 20:27-28: Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and examine my hands. Extend your hand and put it into my side. Do not continue in your unbelief, but believe." Thomas replied to him, "My Lord and my God!"

  • Hebrews 1:5-6: For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my son! Today I have fathered you"? And in another place he says, "I will be his father and he will be my son." But when he again brings his firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all the angels of God worship him!"

  • 1 Chronicles 16:36: May the LORD God of Israel be praised, in the future and forevermore. Then all the people said, "We agree! Praise the LORD!"

  • Revelation 1:8: "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God - the one who is, and who was, and who is still to come - the All-Powerful!

  • Revelation 1:17-18: When I saw him I fell down at his feet as though I were dead, but he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid! I am the first and the last, and the one who lives! I was dead, but look, now I am alive - forever and ever - and I hold the keys of death and of Hades!

  • Exodus 3:14: God said to Moses, "I am that I am." And he said, "You must say this to the Israelites, 'I am has sent me to you.'"

  • John 8:58: Jesus said to them, "I tell you the solemn truth, before Abraham came into existence, I am!"

  • Isaiah 43:10-11: You are my witnesses," says the LORD, "my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may consider and believe in me, and understand that I am he. No god was formed before me, and none will outlive me. I, I am the LORD, and there is no deliverer besides me.

  • John 13:19: I am telling you this now, before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe that I am he.

  • John 8:24: Thus I told you that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins."

  • Psalm 89:8-9: O LORD, sovereign God! Who is strong like you, O LORD? Your faithfulness surrounds you. You rule over the proud sea. When its waves surge, you calm them.

  • Mark 4:39-40: So he got up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Be quiet! Calm down!" Then the wind stopped, and it was dead calm. And he said to them, "Why are you cowardly? Do you still not have faith?"

  • Malachi 3:6: "Since, I, the LORD, do not go back on my promises, you, sons of Jacob, have not perished.

  • Hebrews 13:8-9: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever! Do not be carried away by all sorts of strange teachings. For it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not ritual meals, which have never benefited those who participated in them.

  • Isaiah 40:28: Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is an eternal God, the creator of the whole earth. He does not get tired or weary; there is no limit to his wisdom.

  • John 17:5: And now, Father, glorify me at your side with the glory I had with you before the world was created.

  • John 1:1-4: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God. The Word was with God in the beginning. All things were created by him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created. In him was life, and the life was the light of mankind.

  • Colossians 2:9-10: For in him all the fullness of deity lives in bodily form, and you have been filled in him, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

  • Colossians 1:15-17: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, for all things in heaven and on earth were created by him - all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers - all things were created through him and for him. He himself is before all things and all things are held together in him.

  • Hebrews 1:3: The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word, and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

  • Hebrews 2:17: Therefore he had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

  • John 1:14: Now the Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We saw his glory - the glory of the one and only, full of grace and truth, who came from the Father.

  • Matthew 1:22-23: This all happened so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled: "Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him Emmanuel," which means "God with us."

  • Luke 1:35: The angel replied, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called the Son of God.

  • Matthew 1:21: She will give birth to a son and you will name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

  • 1 John 3:5: And you know that Jesus was revealed to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.

  • Hebrews 7:26-27: For it is indeed fitting for us to have such a high priest: holy, innocent, undefiled, separate from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He has no need to do every day what those priests do, to offer sacrifices first for their own sins and then for the sins of the people, since he did this in offering himself once for all.

  • 2 John 1:7: For many deceivers have gone out into the world, people who do not confess Jesus as Christ coming in the flesh. This person is the deceiver and the antichrist!

  • 1 Peter 1:19: but by precious blood like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb, namely Christ.

  • Titus 2:11-14: For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people. It trains us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, as we wait for the happy fulfillment of our hope in the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. He gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his, who are eager to do good.

  • 1 John 1:7: But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

  • Hebrews 2:14: Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through death he could destroy the one who holds the power of death (that is, the devil),

  • Acts 2:22-23: "Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man clearly attested to you by God with powerful deeds, wonders, and miraculous signs that God performed among you through him, just as you yourselves know - this man, who was handed over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you executed by nailing him to a cross at the hands of Gentiles.

  • Romans 4:25: He was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification.

  • 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: For I passed on to you as of first importance what I also received - that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day according to the scriptures,

  • Luke 24:39: Look at my hands and my feet; it's me! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones like you see I have."

  • 1 Corinthians 15:20-23: But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also came through a man. For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; then when Christ comes, those who belong to him.

  • Acts 2:32: This Jesus God raised up, and we are all witnesses of it.

  • Romans 6:23: For the payoff of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  • Isaiah 45:22: Turn to me so you can be delivered, all you who live in the earth's remote regions! For I am God, and I have no peer.

  • Acts 4:12: And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved."

  • John 14:6: Jesus replied, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

  • John 1:12-13: But to all who have received him - those who believe in his name - he has given the right to become God's children - children not born by human parents or by human desire or a husband's decision, but by God.

  • Acts 16:31: They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household."

  • 1 Peter 1:8-9: You have not seen him, but you love him. You do not see him now but you believe in him, and so you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, because you are attaining the goal of your faith - the salvation of your souls.

  • Ephesians 1:7-8: In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace that he lavished on us in all wisdom and insight.

  • John 5:24: "I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.

  • Isaiah 45:25: All the descendants of Israel will be vindicated by the LORD and will boast in him.

  • Isaiah 53:11: Having suffered, he will reflect on his work, he will be satisfied when he understands what he has done. "My servant will acquit many, for he carried their sins.

  • Romans 5:18-19: Consequently, just as condemnation for all people came through one transgression, so too through the one righteous act came righteousness leading to life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one man many will be made righteous.

  • Galatians 2:16: yet we know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by the faithfulness of Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.

  • Romans 5:1: Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

  • 2 Timothy 1:9-10: He is the one who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not based on our works but on his own purpose and grace, granted to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but now made visible through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus. He has broken the power of death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel!

  • Ephesians 1:9-10: He did this when he revealed to us the secret of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ, toward the administration of the fullness of the times, to head up all things in Christ - the things in heaven and the things on earth.

  • Galatians 4:4-5: But when the appropriate time had come, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we may be adopted as sons with full rights.

  • 1 Timothy 2:5: For there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human,

  • Deuteronomy 18:18-19: I will raise up a prophet like you for them from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth and he will speak to them whatever I command. I will personally hold responsible anyone who then pays no attention to the words that prophet speaks in my name.

  • Acts 3:23: Every person who does not obey that prophet will be destroyed and thus removed from the people.'

  • Matthew 24:35: Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

  • 2 John 1:9: Everyone who goes on ahead and does not remain in the teaching of Christ does not have God. The one who remains in this teaching has both the Father and the Son.

  • John 5:22-23: Furthermore, the Father does not judge anyone, but has assigned all judgment to the Son, so that all people will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

  • John 8:19: Then they began asking him, "Who is your father?" Jesus answered, "You do not know either me or my Father. If you knew me you would know my Father too."

  • John 8:42: Jesus replied, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come from God and am now here. I have not come on my own initiative, but he sent me.

  • John 1:18: No one has ever seen God. The only one, himself God, who is in closest fellowship with the Father, has made God known.

  • Deuteronomy 4:35: You have been taught that the LORD alone is God - there is no other besides him.

  • Psalm 97:9: For you, O LORD, are the sovereign king over the whole earth; you are elevated high above all gods.

  • John 10:30: The Father and I are one."

  • John 15:26: When the Advocate comes, whom I will send you from the Father - the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father - he will testify about me,

  • Galatians 4:6: And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, who calls "Abba! Father!"

  • Acts 2:33: So then, exalted to the right hand of God, and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, he has poured out what you both see and hear.

  • Matthew 28:18: Then Jesus came up and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

  • Ephesians 1:20: This power he exercised in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms

  • Romans 8:34: Who is the one who will condemn? Christ is the one who died (and more than that, he was raised), who is at the right hand of God, and who also is interceding for us.

  • Daniel 7:13-14: I was watching in the night visions, "And with the clouds of the sky one like a son of man was approaching. He went up to the Ancient of Days and was escorted before him. To him was given ruling authority, honor, and sovereignty. All peoples, nations, and language groups were serving him. His authority is eternal and will not pass away. His kingdom will not be destroyed.

  • Philippians 2:9-11: As a result God exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow - in heaven and on earth and under the earth - and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

  • Psalm 110:1: Here is the LORD's proclamation to my lord: "Sit down at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool!"

  • 1 Corinthians 15:24-26: Then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when he has brought to an end all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be eliminated is death.

  • Acts 17:30-31: Therefore, although God has overlooked such times of ignorance, he now commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has set a day on which he is going to judge the world in righteousness, by a man whom he designated, having provided proof to everyone by raising him from the dead."

  • Acts 1:11: and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking up into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way you saw him go into heaven."
