I divided this set into four sections: 1. God the Creator 2. God created in six days 3. God created man in His own image 4. Death came into the world at the Fall through the sin of Adam

Verses

  • Genesis 1:1: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

  • Isaiah 45:12: I made the earth, I created the people who live on it. It was me - my hands stretched out the sky, I give orders to all the heavenly lights.

  • Isaiah 40:26: Look up at the sky! Who created all these heavenly lights? He is the one who leads out their ranks; he calls them all by name. Because of his absolute power and awesome strength, not one of them is missing.

  • Job 38:4: "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you possess understanding!

  • Nehemiah 9:6: You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, along with all their multitude of stars, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You impart life to them all, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.

  • Hebrews 1:1-2: After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets, in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.

  • Isaiah 41:19-20: I will make cedars, acacias, myrtles, and olive trees grow in the wilderness; I will make evergreens, firs, and cypresses grow together in the desert. I will do this so people will observe and recognize, so they will pay attention and understand that the LORD's power has accomplished this, and that the Holy One of Israel has brought it into being."

  • John 1:1-3: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God. The Word was with God in the beginning. All things were created by him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.

  • Romans 1:19-20: because what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, because they are understood through what has been made. So people are without excuse.

  • Colossians 1:15-16: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, for all things in heaven and on earth were created by him - all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers - all things were created through him and for him.

  • Jonah 1:9: He said to them, "I am a Hebrew! And I worship the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land."

  • Acts 17:24-25: The God who made the world and everything in it, who is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands, nor is he served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives life and breath and everything to everyone.

  • 1 Chronicles 16:26: For all the gods of the nations are worthless, but the LORD made the heavens.

  • 2 Kings 19:15: Hezekiah prayed before the LORD: "LORD God of Israel, who is enthroned on the cherubs! You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the sky and the earth.

  • Hebrews 11:3: By faith we understand that the worlds were set in order at God's command, so that the visible has its origin in the invisible.

  • Isaiah 40:28: Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is an eternal God, the creator of the whole earth. He does not get tired or weary; there is no limit to his wisdom.

  • Job 26:13: By his breath the skies became fair; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent.

  • 2 Peter 3:5: For they deliberately suppress this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago and an earth was formed out of water and by means of water.

  • Isaiah 43:1: Now, this is what the LORD says, the one who created you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel: "Don't be afraid, for I will protect you. I call you by name, you are mine.

  • Acts 4:24: When they heard this, they raised their voices to God with one mind and said, "Master of all, you who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and everything that is in them,

  • Revelation 14:7: He declared in a loud voice: "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has arrived, and worship the one who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water!"

  • Psalm 90:2: Even before the mountains came into existence, or you brought the world into being, you were the eternal God.

  • Isaiah 45:8: O sky, rain down from above! Let the clouds send down showers of deliverance! Let the earth absorb it so salvation may grow, and deliverance may sprout up along with it. I, the LORD, create it.

  • Psalm 147:4: He counts the number of the stars; he names all of them.

  • Isaiah 51:13: Why do you forget the LORD, who made you, who stretched out the sky and founded the earth? Why do you constantly tremble all day long at the anger of the oppressor, when he makes plans to destroy? Where is the anger of the oppressor?

  • Psalm 146:5-6: How blessed is the one whose helper is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, the one who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who remains forever faithful,

  • Psalm 89:12: You created the north and the south. Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name.

  • Psalm 104:19: He made the moon to mark the months, and the sun sets according to a regular schedule.

  • Psalm 148:5: Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he gave the command and they came into existence.

  • Jeremiah 51:15: He is the one who by his power made the earth. He is the one who by his wisdom fixed the world in place, by his understanding he spread out the heavens.

  • Psalm 33:6: By the LORD's decree the heavens were made; by a mere word from his mouth all the stars in the sky were created.

  • Isaiah 45:18: For this is what the LORD says, the one who created the sky - he is the true God, the one who formed the earth and made it; he established it, he did not create it without order, he formed it to be inhabited - "I am the LORD, I have no peer.

  • Psalm 115:15: May you be blessed by the LORD, the creator of heaven and earth!

  • Zechariah 12:1: The revelation of the word of the LORD concerning Israel: The LORD - he who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundations of the earth, who forms the human spirit within a person - says,

  • Isaiah 42:5: This is what the true God, the LORD, says - the one who created the sky and stretched it out, the one who fashioned the earth and everything that lives on it, the one who gives breath to the people on it, and life to those who live on it:

  • Exodus 31:17: It is a sign between me and the Israelites forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.'"

  • Genesis 1:31-2:1: God saw all that he had made - and it was very good! There was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day. The heavens and the earth were completed with everything that was in them.

  • Psalm 19:1-2: The heavens declare the glory of God; the sky displays his handiwork. Day after day it speaks out; night after night it reveals his greatness.
