When you see me learning it, that means the verse for today is here!

Lesson 1 for June 6th verse: A child was told not to play with matches. He and his family lived in the mid-west, where there are a lot of dry leaves and land. He didn't listen once and took a match and a piece of tissue in his big backyard. He set it on fire with the match. He thought what happened to the tissue looked cool. Soon the thin tissue turned into a paper, the paper turned into card-stock. And when summer came he lit the card-stock on fire. The embers flew from the small flame into the wind. The embers flew into the trees nearby, causing a forest fire. So did his house caught on fire. Things that you do might seem small, but they might cause you to do things which you might never have wanted to do. Stay in your parents boundaries (ways of living) and live the way God wants you to live. If you sin, it will cause a snowball effect leading into something, no matter how small what you originally seemed it seemed, into something you never wanted to do.

Lesson 2 for June 6: The sins that we did were all on Jesus' back when He was on the cross. Past, Present and Feature sins. When He cried "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?!" Which was in Hebrew, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?!" That was because of the weight of the sins on His back. If you think about it, past, present and feature sins, probably is about a googol (a 1 followed by a hundred zeros!). Since, "All have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God"

Verses

  • Isaiah 53:6: All of us had wandered off like sheep; each of us had strayed off on his own path, but the LORD caused the sin of all of us to attack him.

  • Psalm 119:30: I choose the path of faithfulness; I am committed to your regulations.

  • Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

  • Psalm 9:1: I will thank the LORD with all my heart! I will tell about all your amazing deeds!

  • Romans 12:1: Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice - alive, holy, and pleasing to God - which is your reasonable service.

  • Nehemiah 8:10: He said to them, "Go and eat delicacies and drink sweet drinks and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
