Verses

  • Psalm 41:1: How blessed is the one who treats the poor properly! When trouble comes, the LORD delivers him.

  • Proverbs 22:9: A generous person will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor.

  • Matthew 25:40: And the king will answer them, 'I tell you the truth, just as you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it for me.'

  • Proverbs 25:21-22: If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the LORD will reward you.

  • Mark 9:41: For I tell you the truth, whoever gives you a cup of water because you bear Christ's name will never lose his reward.

  • Luke 3:11: John answered them, "The person who has two tunics must share with the person who has none, and the person who has food must do likewise."

  • Luke 11:41: But give from your heart to those in need, and then everything will be clean for you.

  • 2 Corinthians 9:7: Each one of you should give just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, because God loves a cheerful giver.

  • 1 Timothy 5:8: But if someone does not provide for his own, especially his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

  • Hebrews 13:16: And do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.

  • 1 John 3:17: But whoever has the world's possessions and sees his fellow Christian in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God reside in such a person?
