Description

During my pursuit to complete my Christian Leaders Institute studies, one of the assignments was to read an article called: DEVELOPING A DEVOTIONAL HABIT by Joel Rishel. In his article, Mr. Rishel suggests to memorize verses and gives a lengthy list of those verses. In order to accept the challenge and test I have taken those verses he has suggested and made a verse set series.

  • Revelation 5:12-13: all of whom were singing in a loud voice: "Worthy is the lamb who was killed to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and praise!" Then I heard every creature - in heaven, on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and all that is in them - singing: "To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb be praise, honor, glory, and ruling power forever and ever!"

  • John 4:24: God is spirit, and the people who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

  • Luke 17:20-21: Now at one point the Pharisees asked Jesus when the kingdom of God was coming, so he answered, "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed, nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or 'There!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is in your midst."

  • Mark 11:24-25: For this reason I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you your sins."

  • Ephesians 6:10-12: Finally, be strengthened in the Lord and in the strength of his power. Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. • Ephesians 6:13-15: For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand.
