Keith Moore Faith School Week 1 - Why Faith?

  1. Faith is the Way the Father Lives and Functions Past, Present, and Future (Heb 11:1-3; Psa 33:6; Psa 33:9)
    1. In the past, God created the universe by faith
    2. In the present, God is never afraid, defeated, despondent, or despairing
  2. Faith is a Gift from God that must be received through faith (Gal 2:21; Eph 2:8-9; Rom 5:1-2)
    1. Grace is a gift from God
    2. Not receiving a gift from God frustrates Him
    3. A gift from God cannot be received unless it is grabbed by hands of faith
  3. We must walk by faith to please God (Heb 11:5-6; Rom 1:17; Hab 2:4; Gal 3:11; Heb 10:38)
    1. Walking by faith pleases God
    2. God wants us to live by faith to overcome
  4. Faith comes from the illumination of God's Word (Mark 11:22; Rom 12:3)
    1. God has given us a measure of his faith as part of being a new creation
    2. Revelation is received by faith
  5. Faith is progressively trained over time (2 Cor 5:7, 2 Cor 10:3-5; 1 John 5:4-5; 1 Tim 6:12; 1 John 4:4; James 4:7; 2 Tim 4:7; Gal 2:16, 20; Eph 3:11-12)
    1. Faith must be developed over time by taking steps of faith
    2. Faith is a fight, and you either fight or you get devoured
    3. Because Jesus lived by faith, we must also live by faith
  6. Modern examples of living by faith (Phil 4:13; Prov 3:24; 1 Thes 5:11; Luke 5:13; 2 Cor 1:3-4)
    1. You can overcome trouble sleeping through the Word
    2. You can speak faith into another person's life

örn: Mat 28:19 veya öğrenci yetiştirin
ejemplo: Mat 28:19 o hacer discípulos
voorbeeld: Matt. 28:19 of dopende, Naam

Selection set

Selection verse sets are verses on a certain topic, or designed for a group of people to learn together.

Create passage set

Passage set

Passage verse sets are for a continuous set of verses, like a Psalm or a chapter or part of a chapter.

When you are learning a passage set, you're always presented with the verses in order, and there are lots of tweaks to help you learn it as a passage rather than just a set of verses.

Catechisms are a question/answer method of learning Bible truth. While we don't think they are on a level with the Bible itself, they can be a very useful way of learning the truths the Bible teaches in a systematic way, and they fit well into the system LearnScripture uses for learning verses. Browse our list of catechisms.
