Psalm 2 is a magnificent prophetic Psalm, speaking of our Lord Jesus Christ, and is quoted in the New Testament, by Peter in Acts 4:25-26 and by Paul in Acts 13:33; and in Hebrews 1:5-6 and 5:5. This Psalm is also alluded to in Daniel 7:13 and in Revelation 14:1 and 17:12-14. That's a very powerful study, for anyone who wishes to undertake it -- I recommend reading Psalm 2 and then looking up and considering the references I've mentioned :) When you can see how the New Testament apostles and writers relied so heavily on the Old Testament, it only increases one's conviction that all of it is the Word of God.

Psalm 23 is my all time favorite.
Psalms 1, 8, 19, 51, 91, 103, 121, 150 are also ones I would recommend.

Oh yes Joosep. How could I forget Psalm 139. I learnt that one a while back and it so precious. Easy to learn too as it fits nicely into sections of 6 verses in each set.

My school doesn't really do Psalms for verse tests, but I love learning them here.

Whole Psalms: Psalm 32 and Psalm 139. Those are two that I was working on, here at this website, as whole psalms. But a while ago, I reset everything. At some point in the future I'll add those back into my learning queue. Those are two great Psalms, IMO.

My first completed verse was in Psalm 1:

Psalm 1 and Psalm 23 are both beautiful Psalms and very easy to learn.( Janet23 when you asked if I learned whole Psalms or verses, I misunderstood. I do learn whole Psalms but just a verse at a time. 😃)

If you haven't already learnt a full Psalm I suggest Psalm 117.only 2 verses

Psalm 119:71 came up in my queue this morning. To me, this is a very important verse. It's important to remember, that God as our Father sometimes needs to discipline us. Compare Hebrews 12:7-11 :) We tend to think that being a Christian means our own personal blessing. But much greater than that, is God's goal, that we be conformed to the image of Christ.

I just read Psalm 84 -- connected to a sermon I was listening to. Verse 3 especially spoke to me.

You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

One of my favourite Psalms is Psalm 23 in particular verse 6 .

yes that's a wonderful verse. I added it to my verse set.
