Arise, O LORD! Let not man prevail; let the nations be judged before you! Put them in fear, O LORD! Let the nations know that they are but men! Selah
--Psalm 9:19-20 (ESV)

joosep 2022-02-26 05:42

Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,
And trust in the LORD.
Many are saying, “Who will show us any good?”
Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O LORD!
You have put gladness in my heart,
More than when their grain and new wine abound.
In peace I will both lie down and sleep,
For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety.

--Psalm 4:4-8, NASB.
These truths remain THE TRUTH in spite of ANY situation happening around us. God's Word Does-Not-Change. God is not a man, that He should lie; nor the son of man, that He should repent.
I also pray, pray, pray, that we will stand firm in LOVE and not yield or be molded by or conformed to the attitudes of hatred which surround us. May we hold fast to our testimony in Christ Jesus, who was "full of grace and truth". All that He did and does, He does in Love, but also, Love is ALWAYS in harmony with the Truth. The two must be in balance. The truth without love can kill. Love without the truth becomes meaningless.

O Lord I love the habitation of your house,
and the place where your glory dwells, Psalm 26:8

rvfc2 2022-02-25 04:41

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Isaiah 65:25-66:02 (NASB)

(I put the last verse of Isaiah 65 with the first two verses of chapter 66 in one continuous quotation)

The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain, says the LORD. Thus says the LORD,
Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool.
Where then is a house you could build for Me?
And where is a place that I may rest?
For My hand made all these things,
Thus all these things came into being,” declares the LORD. But to this one I will look,
To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.

Isaiah 59:20-21 (NASB)

A Redeemer will come to Zion,
And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob, declares the LORD.

As for Me, this is My covenant with them, says the LORD: My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring, says the LORD, from now and forever.

Isaiah 45:19 (NET)
I have not spoken in secret,
in some hidden place.
I did not tell Jacob’s descendants,
‘Seek me in vain!’
I am the Lord,
the one who speaks honestly,
who makes reliable announcements.

joosep 2022-02-19 17:52

I am the LORD, that is My name;
I will not give My glory to another,
Nor My praise to graven images.
Behold, the former things have come to pass,
Now I declare new things;
Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.”
Sing to the LORD a new song,
Sing His praise from the end of the earth!
You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it.
You islands, and those who dwell on them.

so many great verses thanks for posting

joosep 2022-02-14 01:37

Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

Philippians 4:5-8 (NAS)

Belteshazzar 2022-02-09 01:14

I made a covenant with my eyes;
how then could I entertain thoughts against a virgin?
What then would be one’s lot from God above,
one’s heritage from the Almighty on high?
Is it not misfortune for the unjust,
and disaster for those who work iniquity?
Does he not see my ways
and count all my steps?

Job 31:1-4 (New English Translation)

Belteshazzar 2022-02-07 02:52

Oh, that my words could be recorded.
Oh, that they could be inscribed on a monument,
carved with an iron chisel and filled with lead,
engraved forever in the rock.
But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
and he will stand upon the earth at last.
And after my body has decayed,
yet in my body I will see God!
I will see him for myself.
Yes, I will see him with my own eyes.
I am overwhelmed at the thought!

16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”
17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost. --Revelation 22:16-17

COMPARE:

Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters;
And you who have no money come, buy and eat.
Come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without cost. --Isaiah 55:1

COMPARE:

13 Jesus answered and said to her, Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again;
14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life. --John 4:13-14

For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again.
18 No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father. --John 10:17-18

Amen, Tychicus.

I will extol Thee, my God, O king; and I will bless Thy name for ever and ever.

Tychicus 2022-01-31 01:04

May we worship, praise, and honor our God, in and from our hearts:

Listen to Me, O Jacob, even Israel whom I called;
I am He, I am the first, I am also the last.
Surely My hand founded the earth,
And My right hand spread out the heavens;
When I call to them, they stand together.

14 And He found in the temple those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers seated at their tables.
15 And He made a scourge of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables;
16 and to those who were selling the doves He said, “Take these things away; stop making My Father’s house a place of business.” John 2

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.”
14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.
15 Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”

Phinehas 2022-01-15 07:52

When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable,
But he who restrains his lips is wise. Proverbs 10:19

joosep 2022-01-13 04:10

8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

2 Peter 3:8-10

joosep 2022-01-10 05:29

9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. --Galatians 6:9-10

15 He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity,
He who rejects unjust gain
And shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe;
He who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed
And shuts his eyes from looking upon evil;
16 He will dwell on the heights,
His refuge will be the impregnable rock;
His bread will be given him,
His water will be sure.
17 Your eyes will see the King in His beauty;
They will behold a far-distant land.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:6-7)

The Lord brought this to mind this morning while I was complaining to myself. I am so grateful for His kind way of correcting me and offering peace beyond understanding in place of anxiety.

1 Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
