  • Esther 6:2: it was found written that Mordecai had disclosed that Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs who guarded the entrance, had plotted to assassinate King Ahasuerus.

  • Esther 6:4: Then the king said, "Who is that in the courtyard?" Now Haman had come to the outer courtyard of the palace to suggest that the king hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had constructed for him.

  • Esther 6:6: So Haman came in, and the king said to him, "What should be done for the man whom the king wishes to honor?" Haman thought to himself, "Who is it that the king would want to honor more than me?"

  • Esther 2:23: The king then had the matter investigated and, finding it to be so, had the two conspirators hanged on a gallows. It was then recorded in the daily chronicles in the king's presence.

  • Esther 3:1: Some time later King Ahasuerus promoted Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, exalting him and setting his position above that of all the officials who were with him.

  • Esther 7:3: Queen Esther replied, "If I have met with your approval, O king, and if the king is so inclined, grant me my life as my request, and my people as my petition.

  • Esther 7:5: Then King Ahasuerus responded to Queen Esther, "Who is this individual? Where is this person to be found who is presumptuous enough to act in this way?"

  • Esther 6:8: let them bring royal attire which the king himself has worn and a horse on which the king himself has ridden - one bearing the royal insignia!

  • Esther 6:10: The king then said to Haman, "Go quickly! Take the clothing and the horse, just as you have described, and do as you just indicated to Mordecai the Jew who sits at the king's gate. Don't neglect a single thing of all that you have said."

  • Esther 6:12: Then Mordecai again sat at the king's gate, while Haman hurried away to his home, mournful and with a veil over his head.

  • Esther 6:14: While they were still speaking with him, the king's eunuchs arrived. They quickly brought Haman to the banquet that Esther had prepared.

  • Esther 3:3: Then the servants of the king who were at the king's gate asked Mordecai, "Why are you violating the king's commandment?"

  • Esther 7:2: On the second day of the banquet of wine the king asked Esther, "What is your request, Queen Esther? It shall be granted to you. And what is your petition? Ask up to half the kingdom, and it shall be done!"

  • Esther 7:4: For we have been sold - both I and my people - to destruction and to slaughter and to annihilation! If we had simply been sold as male and female slaves, I would have remained silent, for such distress would not have been sufficient for troubling the king."

  • Esther 3:5: When Haman saw that Mordecai was not bowing or paying homage to him, he was filled with rage.

  • Esther 7:6: Esther replied, "The oppressor and enemy is this evil Haman!" Then Haman became terrified in the presence of the king and queen.

  • Esther 7:10: So they hanged Haman on the very gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. The king's rage then abated.

  • Esther 3:7: In the first month (that is, the month of Nisan), in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus' reign, pur (that is, the lot) was cast before Haman in order to determine a day and a month. It turned out to be the twelfth month (that is, the month of Adar).

  • Esther 7:9: Harbona, one of the king's eunuchs, said, "Indeed, there is the gallows that Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke out in the king's behalf. It stands near Haman's home and is seventy-five feet high. "The king said, "Hang him on it!"

  • Esther 3:11: The king replied to Haman, "Keep your money, and do with those people whatever you wish."

  • Job 2:1: Again the day came when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also arrived among them to present himself before the LORD.

  • Job 2:3: Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a pure and upright man, one who fears God and turns away from evil. And he still holds firmly to his integrity, so that you stirred me up to destroy him without reason."

  • Job 1:6: Now the day came when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD - and Satan also arrived among them.

  • Job 12:1: Then Job answered:

  • Job 12:3: I also have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?

  • Job 13:5: If only you would keep completely silent! For you, that would be wisdom.

  • Job 2:5: But extend your hand and strike his bone and his flesh, and he will no doubt curse you to your face!"

  • Job 1:8: So the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on the earth, a pure and upright man, one who fears God and turns away from evil."

  • Job 2:2: And the LORD said to Satan, "Where do you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roving about on the earth, and from walking back and forth across it."

  • Job 2:8: Job took a shard of broken pottery to scrape himself with while he was sitting among the ashes.

  • Job 13:10: He would certainly rebuke you if you secretly showed partiality!

  • Job 16:1: Then Job replied:

  • Job 16:6: "But if I speak, my pain is not relieved, and if I refrain from speaking - how much of it goes away?

  • Job 1:7: The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" And Satan answered the LORD, "From roving about on the earth, and from walking back and forth across it."

  • Job 1:9: Then Satan answered the LORD, "Is it for nothing that Job fears God?

  • Job 2:4: But Satan answered the LORD, "Skin for skin! Indeed, a man will give up all that he has to save his life!

  • Job 2:7: So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD, and he afflicted Job with a malignant ulcer from the sole of his feet to the top of his head.

  • Job 2:11: When Job's three friends heard about all this calamity that had happened to him, each of them came from his own country - Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite. They met together to come to show sympathy for him and to console him.

  • Job 2:12: But when they gazed intently from a distance but did not recognize him, they began to weep loudly. Each of them tore his robes, and they threw dust into the air over their heads.

  • Job 9:33: Nor is there an arbiter between us, who might lay his hand on us both,

  • Job 12:2: "Without a doubt you are the people, and wisdom will die with you.

  • Job 16:2: "I have heard many things like these before. What miserable comforters are you all!

  • Job 19:24: that with an iron chisel and with lead they were engraved in a rock forever!

  • Ecclesiastes 7:17: Do not be excessively wicked and do not be a fool; otherwise you might die before your time.

  • Ecclesiastes 7:19: Wisdom gives a wise person more protection than ten rulers in a city.

  • Ecclesiastes 7:21: Also, do not pay attention to everything that people say; otherwise, you might even hear your servant cursing you.

  • Ecclesiastes 1:14: I reflected on everything that is accomplished by man on earth, and I concluded: Everything he has accomplished is futile - like chasing the wind!

  • Ecclesiastes 8:4: Surely the king's authority is absolute; no one can say to him, "What are you doing?"

  • Ecclesiastes 7:16: So do not be excessively righteous or excessively wise; otherwise you might be disappointed.

  • Ecclesiastes 12:1: So remember your Creator in the days of your youth - before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you will say, "I have no pleasure in them";

  • Ecclesiastes 12:3: when those who keep watch over the house begin to tremble, and the virile men begin to stoop over, and the grinders begin to cease because they grow few, and those who look through the windows grow dim,

  • Ecclesiastes 4:12: Although an assailant may overpower one person, two can withstand him. Moreover, a three-stranded cord is not quickly broken.

  • Ecclesiastes 7:20: For there is not one truly righteous person on the earth who continually does good and never sins.

  • Ecclesiastes 7:22: For you know in your own heart that you also have cursed others many times.

  • Ecclesiastes 5:3: Just as dreams come when there are many cares, so the rash vow of a fool occurs when there are many words.

  • Ecclesiastes 9:2: Everyone shares the same fate - the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the ceremonially clean and unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. What happens to the good person, also happens to the sinner; what happens to those who make vows, also happens to those who are afraid to make vows.

  • Ecclesiastes 5:10: The one who loves money will never be satisfied with money, he who loves wealth will never be satisfied with his income. This also is futile.

  • Ecclesiastes 8:5: Whoever obeys his command will not experience harm, and a wise person knows the proper time and procedure.

  • Ecclesiastes 9:3: This is the unfortunate fact about everything that happens on earth: the same fate awaits everyone. In addition to this, the hearts of all people are full of evil, and there is folly in their hearts during their lives - then they die.

  • Ecclesiastes 5:18: I have seen personally what is the only beneficial and appropriate course of action for people: to eat and drink, and find enjoyment in all their hard work on earth during the few days of their life which God has given them, for this is their reward.

  • Ecclesiastes 9:5: For the living know that they will die, but the dead do not know anything; they have no further reward - and even the memory of them disappears.

  • Ecclesiastes 12:5: and they are afraid of heights and the dangers in the street; the almond blossoms grow white, and the grasshopper drags itself along, and the caper berry shrivels up - because man goes to his eternal home, and the mourners go about in the streets -

  • Ecclesiastes 9:7: Go, eat your food with joy, and drink your wine with a happy heart, because God has already approved your works.

  • Ecclesiastes 9:9: Enjoy life with your beloved wife during all the days of your fleeting life that God has given you on earth during all your fleeting days; for that is your reward in life and in your burdensome work on earth.

  • Ecclesiastes 11:2: Divide your merchandise among seven or even eight investments, for you do not know what calamity may happen on earth.
