Verses

  • Genesis 1:31: God saw all that he had made - and it was very good! There was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day.

  • Genesis 2:24: That is why a man leaves his father and mother and unites with his wife, and they become a new family.

  • Genesis 3:15: And I will put hostility between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring; her offspring will attack your head, and you will attack her offspring's heel."

  • Genesis 4:26: And a son was also born to Seth, whom he named Enosh. At that time people began to worship the LORD.

  • Genesis 5:2: He created them male and female; when they were created, he blessed them and named them "humankind."

  • Genesis 6:9: This is the account of Noah. Noah was a godly man; he was blameless among his contemporaries. He walked with God.

  • Genesis 7:7: Noah entered the ark along with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives because of the floodwaters.

  • Genesis 8:21: And the LORD smelled the soothing aroma and said to himself, "I will never again curse the ground because of humankind, even though the inclination of their minds is evil from childhood on. I will never again destroy everything that lives, as I have just done.

  • Genesis 9:13: I will place my rainbow in the clouds, and it will become a guarantee of the covenant between me and the earth.

  • Genesis 10:1: This is the account of Noah's sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.

  • Genesis 11:9: That is why its name was called Babel - because there the LORD confused the language of the entire world, and from there the LORD scattered them across the face of the entire earth.

  • Genesis 12:1: Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go out from your country, your relatives, and your father's household to the land that I will show you.

  • Genesis 13:6: But the land could not support them while they were living side by side. Because their possessions were so great, they were not able to live alongside one another.

  • Genesis 14:20: Worthy of praise is the Most High God, who delivered your enemies into your hand." Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything.

  • Genesis 15:6: Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD considered his response of faith as proof of genuine loyalty.

  • Genesis 20:17: Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, as well as his wife and female slaves so that they were able to have children.

  • Genesis 21:6: Sarah said, "God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears about this will laugh with me."

  • Genesis 22:12: "Do not harm the boy!" the angel said. "Do not do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God because you did not withhold your son, your only son, from me."

  • Genesis 23:19: After this Abraham buried his wife Sarah in the cave in the field of Machpelah next to Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.

  • Genesis 24:60: They blessed Rebekah with these words: "Our sister, may you become the mother of thousands of ten thousands! May your descendants possess the strongholds of their enemies."

  • Genesis 25:23: and the LORD said to her, "Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples will be separated from within you. One people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger."

  • Genesis 26:4: I will multiply your descendants so they will be as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give them all these lands. All the nations of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using the name of your descendants.

  • Genesis 27:28: May God give you the dew of the sky and the richness of the earth, and plenty of grain and new wine.

  • Genesis 28:17: He was afraid and said, "What an awesome place this is! This is nothing else than the house of God! This is the gate of heaven!"

  • Genesis 29:20: So Jacob worked for seven years to acquire Rachel. But they seemed like only a few days to him because his love for her was so great.

  • Genesis 30:24: She named him Joseph, saying, "May the LORD give me yet another son."

  • Genesis 31:49: It was also called Mizpah because he said, "May the LORD watch between us when we are out of sight of one another.

  • Genesis 32:30: So Jacob named the place Peniel, explaining, "Certainly I have seen God face to face and have survived."

  • Genesis 33:5: When Esau looked up and saw the women and the children, he asked, "Who are these people with you?" Jacob replied, "The children whom God has graciously given your servant."

  • Genesis 34:28: They took their flocks, herds, and donkeys, as well as everything in the city and in the surrounding fields.

  • Genesis 35:18: With her dying breath, she named him Ben-Oni. But his father called him Benjamin instead.

  • Genesis 36:19: These were the sons of Esau (also known as Edom), and these were their chiefs.

  • Genesis 37:9: Then he had another dream, and told it to his brothers. "Look," he said. "I had another dream. The sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me."

  • Genesis 38:29: But then he drew back his hand, and his brother came out before him. She said, "How you have broken out of the womb!" So he was named Perez.

  • Genesis 39:22: The warden put all the prisoners under Joseph's care. He was in charge of whatever they were doing.

  • Genesis 40:13: In three more days Pharaoh will reinstate you and restore you to your office. You will put Pharaoh's cup in his hand, just as you did before when you were cupbearer.

  • Genesis 41:38-39: So Pharaoh asked his officials, "Can we find a man like Joseph, one in whom the Spirit of God is present?" So Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Because God has enabled you to know all this, there is no one as wise and discerning as you are!

  • Genesis 42:5: So Israel's sons came to buy grain among the other travelers, for the famine was severe in the land of Canaan.

  • Genesis 43:34: He gave them portions of the food set before him, but the portion for Benjamin was five times greater than the portions for any of the others. They drank with Joseph until they all became drunk.

  • Genesis 44:10: He replied, "You have suggested your own punishment! The one who has it will become my slave, but the rest of you will go free."

  • Genesis 45:3: Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?" His brothers could not answer him because they were dumbfounded before him.

  • Genesis 46:32: The men are shepherds; they take care of livestock. They have brought their flocks and their herds and all that they have.'

  • Genesis 47:10: Then Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out from his presence.

  • Genesis 48:19: But his father refused and said, "I know, my son, I know. He too will become a nation and he too will become great. In spite of this, his younger brother will be even greater and his descendants will become a multitude of nations."

  • Genesis 49:10: The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs; the nations will obey him.

  • Genesis 50:20: As for you, you meant to harm me, but God intended it for a good purpose, so he could preserve the lives of many people, as you can see this day.
