Description

This is a set of verses one or two per chapter to give an outline of the book.

Verses

  • John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God.

  • John 1:48: Nathanael asked him, "How do you know me?" Jesus replied, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you."

  • John 2:5: His mother told the servants, "Whatever he tells you, do it."

  • John 2:25: He did not need anyone to testify about man, for he knew what was in man.

  • John 3:5: Jesus answered, "I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

  • John 3:16: For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

  • John 4:24: God is spirit, and the people who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

  • John 5:6: When Jesus saw him lying there and when he realized that the man had been disabled a long time already, he said to him, "Do you want to become well?"

  • John 6:40: For this is the will of my Father - for everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him to have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."

  • John 7:38: let the one who believes in me drink. Just as the scripture says, 'From within him will flow rivers of living water.'"

  • John 8:32: and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

  • John 9:31: We know that God doesn't listen to sinners, but if anyone is devout and does his will, God listens to him.

  • John 10:10: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

  • John 10:27: My sheep listen to my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

  • John 11:26: and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

  • John 12:46: I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in darkness.

  • John 13:34: "I give you a new commandment - to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

  • John 14:6: Jesus replied, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

  • John 15:5: "I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me - and I in him - bears much fruit, because apart from me you can accomplish nothing.

  • John 16:33: I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage - I have conquered the world."

  • John 17:22: The glory you gave to me I have given to them, that they may be one just as we are one -

  • John 18:37: Then Pilate said, "So you are a king!" Jesus replied, "You say that I am a king. For this reason I was born, and for this reason I came into the world - to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice."

  • John 19:30: When he had received the sour wine, Jesus said, "It is completed!" Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

  • John 20:31: But these are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

  • John 21:25: There are many other things that Jesus did. If every one of them were written down, I suppose the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
