Verses

  • Genesis 17:7-8: I will confirm my covenant as a perpetual covenant between me and you. It will extend to your descendants after you throughout their generations. I will be your God and the God of your descendants after you. I will give the whole land of Canaan - the land where you are now residing - to you and your descendants after you as a permanent possession. I will be their God."

  • Genesis 19:16: When Lot hesitated, the men grabbed his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters because the LORD had compassion on them. They led them away and placed them outside the city.

All the nations of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using the name of your descendants.

  • Genesis 28:22: Then this stone that I have set up as a sacred stone will be the house of God, and I will surely give you back a tenth of everything you give me."

  • Genesis 29:20: So Jacob worked for seven years to acquire Rachel. But they seemed like only a few days to him because his love for her was so great.

  • Genesis 31:24: But God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream at night and warned him, "Be careful that you neither bless nor curse Jacob."

  • Genesis 22:11-12: But the Lord's angel called to him from heaven, "Abraham! Abraham!" "Here I am!" he answered. "Do not harm the boy!" the angel said. "Do not do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God because you did not withhold your son, your only son, from me."
