Description

It's wonderful to study and memorize all of these individual verses or verse sets. But we must always remember also to study Bible verses in context. May God bless you as you consider and pray over, study, and memorize these verses.

Verses

  • 1 Peter 2:24: He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we may cease from sinning and live for righteousness. By his wounds you were healed.

  • Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

  • Colossians 3:8: But now, put off all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth.

  • James 1:21: So put away all filth and evil excess and humbly welcome the message implanted within you, which is able to save your souls.

  • Hebrews 12:1: Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us,

  • Romans 13:12: The night has advanced toward dawn; the day is near. So then we must lay aside the works of darkness, and put on the weapons of light.

  • Ephesians 4:22: You were taught with reference to your former way of life to lay aside the old man who is being corrupted in accordance with deceitful desires,

  • Romans 6:1-2: What shall we say then? Are we to remain in sin so that grace may increase? Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

  • Romans 6:3-4: Or do you not know that as many as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may live a new life.

  • Romans 6:5-7: For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be united in the likeness of his resurrection. We know that our old man was crucified with him so that the body of sin would no longer dominate us, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. (For someone who has died has been freed from sin.)

  • Romans 6:8-11: Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that since Christ has been raised from the dead, he is never going to die again; death no longer has mastery over him. For the death he died, he died to sin once for all, but the life he lives, he lives to God. So you too consider yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:3: For this is God's will: that you become holy, that you keep away from sexual immorality,

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:4: that each of you know how to possess his own body in holiness and honor,

  • 1 Peter 2:1: So get rid of all evil and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.

  • 1 Peter 2:2: And yearn like newborn infants for pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up to salvation,
