• Deuteronomy 4:2: Do not add a thing to what I command you nor subtract from it, so that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I am delivering to you.
  
  
• Deuteronomy 8:3: So he humbled you by making you hungry and then feeding you with unfamiliar manna. He did this to teach you that humankind cannot live by bread alone, but also by everything that comes from the LORD's mouth.
  
  
• Deuteronomy 13:1-3: Suppose a prophet or one who foretells by dreams should appear among you and show you a sign or wonder, and the sign or wonder should come to pass concerning what he said to you, namely, "Let us follow other gods" - gods whom you have not previously known - "and let us serve them." You must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer, for the LORD your God will be testing you to see if you love him with all your mind and being.
  
  
• Deuteronomy 18:9: When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, you must not learn the abhorrent practices of those nations.
  
  
• Deuteronomy 29:29: Secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those that are revealed belong to us and our descendants forever, so that we might obey all the words of this law.
