Verses on God's provision from both the Old testament an the New Testament, alternating one from each although not in order of importance.

  • Matthew 6:11: Give us today our daily bread,

  • Deuteronomy 29:5: I have led you through the desert for forty years. Your clothing has not worn out nor have your sandals deteriorated.

  • Matthew 6:33: But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

  • Psalm 23:1: The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

  • Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

  • Jeremiah 29:11: For I know what I have planned for you,' says the LORD. 'I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.

  • Mark 11:24: For this reason I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

  • Isaiah 43:2: When you pass through the waters, I am with you; when you pass through the streams, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you.

  • Galatians 4:7: So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if you are a son, then you are also an heir through God.

  • Isaiah 40:8: The grass dries up, the flowers wither, but the decree of our God is forever reliable."

  • James 4:2: You desire and you do not have; you murder and envy and you cannot obtain; you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask;

  • Psalm 132:15: I will abundantly supply what she needs; I will give her poor all the food they need.

  • 2 Corinthians 12:9: But he said to me, "My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." So then, I will boast most gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may reside in me.

  • Psalm 37:25: I was once young, now I am old. I have never seen a godly man abandoned, or his children forced to search for food.

  • 2 Peter 1:3: I can pray this because his divine power has bestowed on us everything necessary for life and godliness through the rich knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence.

  • 1 Peter 2:16: Live as free people, not using your freedom as a pretext for evil, but as God's slaves.
