• Proverbs 3:7-8: Do not be wise in your own estimation; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. This will bring healing to your body, and refreshment to your inner self.
  
  
• Proverbs 4:24-27: Remove perverse speech from your mouth; keep devious talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look directly in front of you and let your gaze look straight before you. Make the path for your feet level, so that all your ways may be established. Do not turn to the right or to the left; turn yourself away from evil.
  
  
• Proverbs 28:13: The one who covers his transgressions will not prosper, but whoever confesses them and forsakes them will find mercy.
  
  
• Amos 5:14: Seek good and not evil so you can live! Then the LORD, the God who commands armies, just might be with you, as you claim he is.
