Verses

  • Genesis 6:5: But the LORD saw that the wickedness of humankind had become great on the earth. Every inclination of the thoughts of their minds was only evil all the time.

  • Leviticus 5:4: or when a person swears an oath, speaking thoughtlessly with his lips, whether to do evil or to do good, with regard to anything which the individual might speak thoughtlessly in an oath, even if he did not realize it, but he himself has later come to know it and is guilty with regard to one of these oaths -

  • Leviticus 5:5: when an individual becomes guilty with regard to one of these things he must confess how he has sinned,

  • Leviticus 18:19: "'You must not approach a woman in her menstrual impurity to have sexual intercourse with her.

  • Leviticus 18:20: You must not have sexual intercourse with the wife of your fellow citizen to become unclean with her.

  • Leviticus 18:21: You must not give any of your children as an offering to Molech, so that you do not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD!

  • Leviticus 18:22: You must not have sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman; it is a detestable act.

  • Leviticus 18:23: You must not have sexual intercourse with any animal to become defiled with it, and a woman must not stand before an animal to have sexual intercourse with it; it is a perversion.

  • Leviticus 20:10: If a man commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

  • Leviticus 20:11: If a man has sexual intercourse with his father's wife, he has exposed his father's nakedness. Both of them must be put to death; their blood guilt is on themselves.

  • Leviticus 20:12: If a man has sexual intercourse with his daughter-in-law, both of them must be put to death. They have committed perversion; their blood guilt is on themselves.

  • Leviticus 20:13: If a man has sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman, the two of them have committed an abomination. They must be put to death; their blood guilt is on themselves.

  • Leviticus 20:14: If a man has sexual intercourse with both a woman and her mother, it is lewdness. Both he and they must be burned to death, so there is no lewdness in your midst.

  • Leviticus 20:15: If a man has sexual intercourse with any animal, he must be put to death, and you must kill the animal.

  • Leviticus 20:16: If a woman approaches any animal to have sexual intercourse with it, you must kill the woman, and the animal must be put to death; their blood guilt is on themselves.

  • Leviticus 27:9: "'If what is vowed is a kind of animal from which an offering may be presented to the LORD, anything which he gives to the LORD from this kind of animal will be holy.

  • Leviticus 27:10: He must not replace or exchange it, good for bad or bad for good, and if he does indeed exchange one animal for another animal, then both the original animal and its substitute will be holy.

  • Numbers 30:2: If a man makes a vow to the LORD or takes an oath of binding obligation on himself, he must not break his word, but must do whatever he has promised.

  • Deuteronomy 31:6: Be strong and courageous! Do not fear or tremble before them, for the LORD your God is the one who is going with you. He will not fail you or abandon you!"

  • 1 Samuel 16:7: But the LORD said to Samuel, "Don't be impressed by his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. God does not view things the way men do. People look on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

  • 2 Kings 23:7: He tore down the quarters of the male cultic prostitutes in the LORD's temple, where women were weaving shrines for Asherah.

  • Psalm 25:20: Protect me and deliver me! Please do not let me be humiliated, for I have taken shelter in you!

  • Psalm 25:21: May integrity and godliness protect me, for I rely on you!

  • Psalm 119:133: Direct my steps by your word! Do not let any sin dominate me!

  • Psalm 139:1: O LORD, you examine me and know.

  • Psalm 139:2: You know when I sit down and when I get up; even from far away you understand my motives.

  • Psalm 139:3: You carefully observe me when I travel or when I lie down to rest; you are aware of everything I do.

  • Psalm 139:4: Certainly my tongue does not frame a word without you, O LORD, being thoroughly aware of it.

  • Psalm 139:5: You squeeze me in from behind and in front; you place your hand on me.

  • Psalm 139:6: Your knowledge is beyond my comprehension; it is so far beyond me, I am unable to fathom it.

  • Psalm 139:7: Where can I go to escape your spirit? Where can I flee to escape your presence?

  • Psalm 139:8: If I were to ascend to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be.

  • Psalm 139:9: If I were to fly away on the wings of the dawn, and settle down on the other side of the sea,

  • Psalm 139:10: even there your hand would guide me, your right hand would grab hold of me.

  • Psalm 139:11: If I were to say, "Certainly the darkness will cover me, and the light will turn to night all around me,"

  • Psalm 139:12: even the darkness is not too dark for you to see, and the night is as bright as day; darkness and light are the same to you.

  • Psalm 139:13: Certainly you made my mind and heart; you wove me together in my mother's womb.

  • Psalm 139:14: I will give you thanks because your deeds are awesome and amazing. You knew me thoroughly;

  • Psalm 139:15: my bones were not hidden from you, when I was made in secret and sewed together in the depths of the earth.

  • Psalm 139:16: Your eyes saw me when I was inside the womb. All the days ordained for me were recorded in your scroll before one of them came into existence.

  • Psalm 139:17: How difficult it is for me to fathom your thoughts about me, O God! How vast is their sum total!

  • Psalm 139:18: If I tried to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. Even if I finished counting them, I would still have to contend with you.

  • Psalm 139:19: If only you would kill the wicked, O God! Get away from me, you violent men!

  • Psalm 139:20: They rebel against you and act deceitfully; your enemies lie.

  • Psalm 139:21: O LORD, do I not hate those who hate you, and despise those who oppose you?

  • Psalm 139:22: I absolutely hate them, they have become my enemies!

  • Psalm 139:23: Examine me, and probe my thoughts! Test me, and know my concerns!

  • Psalm 139:24: See if there is any idolatrous tendency in me, and lead me in the reliable ancient path!

  • Proverbs 3:5: Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding.

  • Proverbs 12:22: The LORD abhors a person who lies, but those who deal truthfully are his delight.

  • Proverbs 12:25: Anxiety in a person's heart weighs him down, but an encouraging word brings him joy.

  • Proverbs 22:3: A shrewd person sees danger and hides himself, but the naive keep right on going and suffer for it.

  • Ezekiel 16:49: "'See here - this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters had majesty, abundance of food, and enjoyed carefree ease, but they did not help the poor and needy.

  • Ezekiel 16:50: They were haughty and practiced abominable deeds before me. Therefore when I saw it I removed them.

  • Matthew 5:8: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

  • Matthew 5:28: But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to desire her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

  • Psalm 119:9: How can a young person maintain a pure life? By guarding it according to your instructions!
