Eight Key Verses to help the believer understand the Book of Hebrews

Verses

  • Hebrews 2:3: how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first communicated through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him,

  • Hebrews 4:16: Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help.

  • Hebrews 9:22: Indeed according to the law almost everything was purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

  • Hebrews 10:24-25: And let us take thought of how to spur one another on to love and good works, not abandoning our own meetings, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and even more so because you see the day drawing near.

  • Hebrews 11:6: Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

  • Hebrews 12:1-2: Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
