  • Matthew 1:1: This is the record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

  • Matthew 1:2: Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,

  • Matthew 1:3: Judah the father of Perez and Zerah (by Tamar), Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram,

  • Matthew 1:4: Ram the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon,

  • Matthew 1:5: Salmon the father of Boaz (by Rahab), Boaz the father of Obed (by Ruth), Obed the father of Jesse,

  • Matthew 1:6: and Jesse the father of David the king. David was the father of Solomon (by the wife of Uriah),

  • Matthew 1:7: Solomon the father of Rehoboam, Rehoboam the father of Abijah, Abijah the father of Asa,

  • Matthew 1:8: Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Joram, Joram the father of Uzziah,

  • Matthew 1:9: Uzziah the father of Jotham, Jotham the father of Ahaz, Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,

  • Matthew 1:10: Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, Manasseh the father of Amon, Amon the father of Josiah,

  • Matthew 1:11: and Josiah the father of Jeconiah and his brothers, at the time of the deportation to Babylon.

  • Matthew 1:12: After the deportation to Babylon, Jeconiah became the father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,

  • Matthew 1:13: Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, Abiud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor,

  • Matthew 1:14: Azor the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Achim, Achim the father of Eliud,

  • Matthew 1:15: Eliud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob,

  • Matthew 1:16: and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, by whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ.

  • Matthew 1:17: So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to Christ, fourteen generations.

  • Matthew 1:18: Now the birth of Jesus Christ happened this way. While his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.

  • Matthew 1:19: Because Joseph, her husband to be, was a righteous man, and because he did not want to disgrace her, he intended to divorce her privately.

  • Matthew 1:20: When he had contemplated this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

  • Matthew 1:21: She will give birth to a son and you will name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

  • Matthew 1:22: This all happened so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled:

  • Matthew 1:23: "Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him Emmanuel," which means "God with us."

  • Matthew 1:24: When Joseph awoke from sleep he did what the angel of the Lord told him. He took his wife,

  • Matthew 1:25: but did not have marital relations with her until she gave birth to a son, whom he named Jesus.

  • Isaiah 7:14: For this reason the sovereign master himself will give you a confirming sign. Look, this young woman is about to conceive and will give birth to a son. You, young woman, will name him Immanuel.

  • Genesis 22:18: Because you have obeyed me, all the nations of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using the name of your descendants.'"

  • Galatians 3:16: Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendant. Scripture does not say, "and to the descendants," referring to many, but "and to your descendant," referring to one, who is Christ.

  • Luke 1:32: He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.

  • Isaiah 11:1: A shoot will grow out of Jesse's root stock, a bud will sprout from his roots.

  • Ruth 4:18: These are the descendants of Perez: Perez was the father of Hezron,

  • Ruth 4:19: Hezron was the father of Ram, Ram was the father of Amminadab,

  • Ruth 4:20: Amminadab was the father of Nachshon, Nachshon was the father of Salmah,

  • Ruth 4:21: Salmon was the father of Boaz, Boaz was the father of Obed,

  • Ruth 4:22: Obed was the father of Jesse, and Jesse was the father of David.

  • Luke 1:35: The angel replied, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called the Son of God.

  • 2 Samuel 12:24: So David comforted his wife Bathsheba. He went to her and had marital relations with her. She gave birth to a son, and David named him Solomon. Now the LORD loved the child

  • Genesis 5:1: This is the record of the family line of Adam. When God created humankind, he made them in the likeness of God.

  • Revelation 22:16: "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star!"

  • Revelation 1:1: The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must happen very soon. He made it clear by sending his angel to his servant John,

  • Hebrews 7:14: For it is clear that our Lord is descended from Judah, yet Moses said nothing about priests in connection with that tribe.

  • Romans 1:3: concerning his Son who was a descendant of David with reference to the flesh,

  • Acts 2:30: So then, because he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one of his descendants on his throne,

  • Luke 2:11: Today your Savior is born in the city of David. He is Christ the Lord.

  • Luke 1:27: to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, a descendant of David, and the virgin's name was Mary.

  • Matthew 9:27: As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, shouting, "Have mercy on us, Son of David!"

  • Jeremiah 22:24: The LORD says, "As surely as I am the living God, you, Jeconiah, king of Judah, son of Jehoiakim, will not be the earthly representative of my authority. Indeed, I will take that right away from you.

  • Jeremiah 22:25: I will hand you over to those who want to take your life and of whom you are afraid. I will hand you over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and his Babylonian soldiers.

  • Jeremiah 22:26: I will force you and your mother who gave you birth into exile. You will be exiled to a country where neither of you were born, and you will both die there.

  • Jeremiah 22:27: You will never come back to this land to which you will long to return!"

  • Jeremiah 22:28: This man, Jeconiah, will be like a broken pot someone threw away. He will be like a clay vessel that no one wants. Why will he and his children be forced into exile? Why will they be thrown out into a country they know nothing about?

  • Jeremiah 22:29: O land of Judah, land of Judah, land of Judah! Listen to what the LORD has to say!

  • Jeremiah 22:30: The LORD says, "Enroll this man in the register as though he were childless. Enroll him as a man who will not enjoy success during his lifetime. For none of his sons will succeed in occupying the throne of David or ever succeed in ruling over Judah."

  • Isaiah 9:6: For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us. He shoulders responsibility and is called: Extraordinary Strategist, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

  • Isaiah 9:7: His dominion will be vast and he will bring immeasurable prosperity. He will rule on David's throne and over David's kingdom, establishing it and strengthening it by promoting justice and fairness, from this time forward and forevermore. The LORD's intense devotion to his people will accomplish this.

  • Ezra 3:2: Then Jeshua the son of Jozadak and his priestly colleagues and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and his colleagues started to build the altar of the God of Israel so they could offer burnt offerings on it as required by the law of Moses the man of God.

  • Genesis 12:3: I will bless those who bless you, but the one who treats you lightly I must curse, and all the families of the earth will bless one another by your name."

  • Genesis 5:2: He created them male and female; when they were created, he blessed them and named them "humankind."

  • Genesis 5:3: When Adam had lived 130 years he fathered a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and he named him Seth.

  • Genesis 5:4: The length of time Adam lived after he became the father of Seth was 800 years; during this time he had other sons and daughters.

  • Genesis 5:5: The entire lifetime of Adam was 930 years, and then he died.

  • Genesis 5:6: When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father of Enosh.

  • Genesis 5:7: Seth lived 807 years after he became the father of Enosh, and he had other sons and daughters.

  • Genesis 5:8: The entire lifetime of Seth was 912 years, and then he died.

  • Genesis 5:9: When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan.

  • Genesis 5:10: Enosh lived 815 years after he became the father of Kenan, and he had other sons and daughters.

  • Genesis 5:11: The entire lifetime of Enosh was 905 years, and then he died.

  • Genesis 5:12: When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel.

  • Genesis 5:13: Kenan lived 840 years after he became the father of Mahalalel, and he had other sons and daughters.

  • Genesis 5:14: The entire lifetime of Kenan was 910 years, and then he died.

  • Genesis 5:15: When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared.

  • Genesis 5:16: Mahalalel lived 830 years after he became the father of Jared, and he had other sons and daughters.

  • Genesis 5:17: The entire lifetime of Mahalalel was 895 years, and then he died.

  • Genesis 5:18: When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.

  • Genesis 5:19: Jared lived 800 years after he became the father of Enoch, and he had other sons and daughters.

  • Genesis 5:20: The entire lifetime of Jared was 962 years, and then he died.

  • Genesis 5:21: When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.

  • Genesis 5:22: After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God for 300 years, and he had other sons and daughters.

  • Genesis 5:23: The entire lifetime of Enoch was 365 years.

  • Genesis 5:24: Enoch walked with God, and then he disappeared because God took him away.

  • Genesis 5:25: When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.

  • Genesis 5:26: Methuselah lived 782 years after he became the father of Lamech, and he had other sons and daughters.

  • Genesis 5:27: The entire lifetime of Methuselah was 969 years, and then he died.

  • Genesis 5:28: When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son.

  • Genesis 5:29: He named him Noah, saying, "This one will bring us comfort from our labor and from the painful toil of our hands because of the ground that the LORD has cursed."

  • Genesis 5:30: Lamech lived 595 years after he became the father of Noah, and he had other sons and daughters.

  • Genesis 5:31: The entire lifetime of Lamech was 777 years, and then he died.

  • Genesis 5:32: After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

  • Galatians 3:29: And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to the promise.

  • Acts 17:10: The brothers sent Paul and Silas off to Berea at once, during the night. When they arrived, they went to the Jewish synagogue.

  • Acts 17:11: These Jews were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they eagerly received the message, examining the scriptures carefully every day to see if these things were so.

  • John 7:42: Don't the scriptures say that the Christ is a descendant of David and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?"

  • Luke 3:3: He went into all the region around the Jordan River, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

  • Luke 1:31: Listen: You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.

  • Matthew 21:9: The crowds that went ahead of him and those following kept shouting, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!"

  • Matthew 2:15: He stayed there until Herod died. In this way what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet was fulfilled: "I called my Son out of Egypt."

  • Malachi 4:1: "For indeed the day is coming, burning like a furnace, and all the arrogant evildoers will be chaff. The coming day will burn them up," says the LORD who rules over all. "It will not leave even a root or branch.

  • Malachi 4:2: But for you who respect my name, the sun of vindication will rise with healing wings, and you will skip about like calves released from the stall.

  • Malachi 4:3: You will trample on the wicked, for they will be like ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing," says the LORD who rules over all.

  • Malachi 4:4: "Remember the law of my servant Moses, to whom at Horeb I gave rules and regulations for all Israel to obey.

  • Malachi 4:5: Look, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the LORD arrives.

  • Malachi 4:6: He will encourage fathers and their children to return to me, so that I will not come and strike the earth with judgment."

  • Micah 5:2: As for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, seemingly insignificant among the clans of Judah - from you a king will emerge who will rule over Israel on my behalf, one whose origins are in the distant past.

  • 1 Chronicles 3:17: The sons of Jehoiachin the exile: Shealtiel his son,

  • 1 Chronicles 3:18: Malkiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.

  • 1 Chronicles 3:19: The sons of Pedaiah: Zerubbabel and Shimei. The sons of Zerubbabel: Meshullam and Hananiah. Shelomith was their sister.

  • 1 Chronicles 3:5: These were the sons born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon - the mother of these four was Bathsheba the daughter of Ammiel.

  • Deuteronomy 25:5: If brothers live together and one of them dies without having a son, the dead man's wife must not remarry someone outside the family. Instead, her late husband's brother must go to her, marry her, and perform the duty of a brother-in-law.

  • Deuteronomy 24:1: If a man marries a woman and she does not please him because he has found something offensive in her, then he may draw up a divorce document, give it to her, and evict her from his house.

  • Genesis 49:10: The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs; the nations will obey him.

  • Genesis 29:35: She became pregnant again and had another son. She said, "This time I will praise the LORD." That is why she named him Judah. Then she stopped having children.

  • Genesis 25:26: When his brother came out with his hand clutching Esau's heel, they named him Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when they were born.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16: Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

  • 1 Timothy 1:1: From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,

  • 1 Timothy 1:2: to Timothy, my genuine child in the faith. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!

  • 1 Timothy 1:7: They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not understand what they are saying or the things they insist on so confidently.

  • 1 Timothy 1:8: But we know that the law is good if someone uses it legitimately,

  • 1 Timothy 1:9: realizing that law is not intended for a righteous person, but for lawless and rebellious people, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,

  • 1 Timothy 1:10: sexually immoral people, practicing homosexuals, kidnappers, liars, perjurers - in fact, for any who live contrary to sound teaching.

  • 1 Timothy 1:11: This accords with the glorious gospel of the blessed God that was entrusted to me.

  • 1 Timothy 1:12: I am grateful to the one who has strengthened me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he considered me faithful in putting me into ministry,

  • 1 Timothy 1:13: even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I was treated with mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief,

  • 1 Timothy 1:14: and our Lord's grace was abundant, bringing faith and love in Christ Jesus.

  • 1 Timothy 1:15: This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance: "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" - and I am the worst of them!

  • 1 Timothy 1:16: But here is why I was treated with mercy: so that in me as the worst, Christ Jesus could demonstrate his utmost patience, as an example for those who are going to believe in him for eternal life.

  • 1 Timothy 1:17: Now to the eternal king, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever! Amen.

  • 1 Timothy 1:18: I put this charge before you, Timothy my child, in keeping with the prophecies once spoken about you, in order that with such encouragement you may fight the good fight.

  • 1 Timothy 1:19: To do this you must hold firmly to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck in regard to the faith.

  • 1 Timothy 1:20: Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.

  • Acts 5:19: But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison, led them out, and said,

  • Acts 5:31: God exalted him to his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

  • John 19:36: For these things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled, "Not a bone of his will be broken."

  • John 17:3: Now this is eternal life - that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent.

  • John 1:14: Now the Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We saw his glory - the glory of the one and only, full of grace and truth, who came from the Father.

  • John 1:17: For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came about through Jesus Christ.

  • Luke 6:2: But some of the Pharisees said, "Why are you doing what is against the law on the Sabbath?"

  • Luke 6:8: But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, "Get up and stand here." So he rose and stood there.

  • Luke 3:2: during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness.

  • Luke 2:21: At the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, he was named Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

  • Luke 1:69: For he has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David,

  • Luke 1:34: Mary said to the angel, "How will this be, since I have not had sexual relations with a man?"

  • Matthew 27:17: So after they had assembled, Pilate said to them, "Whom do you want me to release for you, Jesus Barabbas or Jesus who is called the Christ?"

  • Matthew 28:20: teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
