Description

We want to place emphasis on what our bodies mean to God. Number one is that they are His desired habitations!

Verses

  • 1 Corinthians 3:16-17: Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If someone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, which is what you are.

  • Romans 12:1-2: Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice - alive, holy, and pleasing to God - which is your reasonable service. Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God - what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.

  • 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.

  • Matthew 10:28: Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

  • 1 Corinthians 10:31: So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.

  • 1 Corinthians 9:27: Instead I subdue my body and make it my slave, so that after preaching to others I myself will not be disqualified.
