  • Daniel 1:11: Daniel then spoke to the warden whom the overseer of the court officials had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

  • Daniel 1:12: "Please test your servants for ten days by providing us with some vegetables to eat and water to drink.

  • Daniel 1:13: Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who are eating the royal delicacies; deal with us in light of what you see."

  • Daniel 1:14: So the warden agreed to their proposal and tested them for ten days.

  • Daniel 1:15: At the end of the ten days their appearance was better and their bodies were healthier than all the young men who had been eating the royal delicacies.

  • Daniel 1:16: So the warden removed the delicacies and the wine from their diet and gave them a diet of vegetables instead.

  • Daniel 1:17: Now as for these four young men, God endowed them with knowledge and skill in all sorts of literature and wisdom - and Daniel had insight into all kinds of visions and dreams.

  • Daniel 1:18: When the time appointed by the king arrived, the overseer of the court officials brought them into Nebuchadnezzar's presence.

  • 1 John 1:9: But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness.

  • 1 John 4:8: The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

  • Matthew 25:40: And the king will answer them, 'I tell you the truth, just as you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it for me.'

  • Ecclesiastes 11:10: Banish emotional stress from your mind. and put away pain from your body; for youth and the prime of life are fleeting.

  • Matthew 3:4: Now John wore clothing made from camel's hair with a leather belt around his waist, and his diet consisted of locusts and wild honey.

  • 1 Corinthians 6:10: thieves, the greedy, drunkards, the verbally abusive, and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God.
