Description
Verses to memorize to help someone understand that profanity is a great sin.
There are other verses referring to profanity and blasphemy. You can find them in Torrey's Topical Textbook and Thompson Chain Topics. These are just the main ones concerning profanity and how wicked it is.

Exodus 20:7: "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold guiltless anyone who takes his name in vain.

Leviticus 19:12: You must not swear falsely in my name, so that you do not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.
