Memory verses from Southland Christian Camp, Summer 2025

Verses

  • Psalm 119:11: In my heart I store up your words, so I might not sin against you.

  • Titus 3:5: he saved us not by works of righteousness that we have done but on the basis of his mercy, through the washing of the new birth and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,

  • Romans 12:9-11: Love must be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil, cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another with mutual love, showing eagerness in honoring one another. Do not lag in zeal, be enthusiastic in spirit, serve the Lord.

  • Galatians 5:1: For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery.

  • James 4:7-8: So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double-minded.

  • Psalm 101:3: I will not even consider doing what is dishonest. I hate doing evil; I will have no part of it.

  • Acts 4:12: And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved."

  • 1 Corinthians 1:18: For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

  • Galatians 6:7-8: Do not be deceived. God will not be made a fool. For a person will reap what he sows, because the person who sows to his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.

  • Psalm 119:105: Your word is a lamp to walk by, and a light to illumine my path.

  • Psalm 1:1-2: How blessed is the one who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand in the pathway with sinners, or sit in the assembly of scoffers! Instead he finds pleasure in obeying the LORD's commands; he meditates on his commands day and night.

  • 2 Corinthians 5:21: God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God.

  • 1 Peter 5:8-9: Be sober and alert. Your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion, is on the prowl looking for someone to devour. Resist him, strong in your faith, because you know that your brothers and sisters throughout the world are enduring the same kinds of suffering.

  • Galatians 3:13: Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (because it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree")

  • Psalm 32:1: How blessed is the one whose rebellious acts are forgiven, whose sin is pardoned!

  • John 17:17: Set them apart in the truth; your word is truth.

  • Romans 6:6: We know that our old man was crucified with him so that the body of sin would no longer dominate us, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

  • Galatians 5:16-17: But I say, live by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. For the flesh has desires that are opposed to the Spirit, and the Spirit has desires that are opposed to the flesh, for these are in opposition to each other, so that you cannot do what you want.

  • Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
