Some verses about the cross of Jesus

Verses

  • John 19:17-18: and carrying his own cross he went out to the place called "The Place of the Skull" (called in Aramaic Golgotha). There they crucified him along with two others, one on each side, with Jesus in the middle.

  • Romans 5:8: But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

  • 1 Corinthians 1:18: For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

  • 1 Corinthians 2:2: For I decided to be concerned about nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

  • Mark 8:34: Then Jesus called the crowd, along with his disciples, and said to them, "If anyone wants to become my follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

  • Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
