Description
These are some of the many scriptures on God's peace that I find particularly beautiful and worth holding on to.
Verses
-
John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be distressed or lacking in courage.
-
Matthew 5:9: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.
-
Matthew 11:28-30: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and my load is not hard to carry."
-
John 16:33: I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage - I have conquered the world."
-
Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
-
Isaiah 12:2: Look, God is my deliverer! I will trust in him and not fear. For the LORD gives me strength and protects me; he has become my deliverer."
-
Romans 8:6: For the outlook of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace,
-
Colossians 3:15: Let the peace of Christ be in control in your heart (for you were in fact called as one body to this peace), and be thankful.
