Genesis 11:1: The whole earth had a common language and a common vocabulary.

Genesis 11:2: When the people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.

Genesis 11:3: Then they said to one another, "Come, let's make bricks and bake them thoroughly." (They had brick instead of stone and tar instead of mortar.)

Genesis 11:4: Then they said, "Come, let's build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens so that we may make a name for ourselves. Otherwise we will be scattered across the face of the entire earth."

Genesis 11:5: But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the people had started building.

Genesis 11:6: And the LORD said, "If as one people all sharing a common language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be beyond them.
-
Genesis 11:7: Come, let's go down and confuse their language so they won't be able to understand each other."

Genesis 11:8: So the LORD scattered them from there across the face of the entire earth, and they stopped building the city.

Genesis 11:9: That is why its name was called Babel - because there the LORD confused the language of the entire world, and from there the LORD scattered them across the face of the entire earth.

Genesis 11:10: This is the account of Shem. Shem was 100 old when he became the father of Arphaxad, two years after the flood.

Genesis 11:11: And after becoming the father of Arphaxad, Shem lived 500 years and had other sons and daughters.

Genesis 11:12: When Arphaxad had lived 35 years, he became the father of Shelah.
-
Genesis 11:13: And after he became the father of Shelah, Arphaxad lived 403 years and had other sons and daughters.
-
Genesis 11:14: When Shelah had lived 30 years, he became the father of Eber.
-
Genesis 11:15: And after he became the father of Eber, Shelah lived 403 years and had other sons and daughters.

Genesis 11:16: When Eber had lived 34 years, he became the father of Peleg.
-
Genesis 11:17: And after he became the father of Peleg, Eber lived 430 years and had other sons and daughters.
-
Genesis 11:18: When Peleg had lived 30 years, he became the father of Reu.
-
Genesis 11:19: And after he became the father of Reu, Peleg lived 209 years and had other sons and daughters.
-
Genesis 11:20: When Reu had lived 32 years, he became the father of Serug.
-
Genesis 11:21: And after he became the father of Serug, Reu lived 207 years and had other sons and daughters.
-
Genesis 11:22: When Serug had lived 30 years, he became the father of Nahor.
-
Genesis 11:23: And after he became the father of Nahor, Serug lived 200 years and had other sons and daughters.
-
Genesis 11:24: When Nahor had lived 29 years, he became the father of Terah.
-
Genesis 11:25: And after he became the father of Terah, Nahor lived 119 years and had other sons and daughters.
-
Genesis 11:26: When Terah had lived 70 years, he became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

Genesis 11:27: This is the account of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. And Haran became the father of Lot.
-
Genesis 11:28: Haran died in the land of his birth, in Ur of the Chaldeans, while his father Terah was still alive.
-
Genesis 11:29: And Abram and Nahor took wives for themselves. The name of Abram's wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor's wife was Milcah; she was the daughter of Haran, the father of both Milcah and Iscah.

Genesis 11:30: But Sarai was barren; she had no children.
-
Genesis 11:31: Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot (the son of Haran), and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram's wife, and with them he set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. When they came to Haran, they settled there.

Genesis 11:32: The lifetime of Terah was 205 years, and he died in Haran.

Zephaniah 3:9: Know for sure that I will then enable the nations to give me acceptable praise. All of them will invoke the LORD's name when they pray, and will worship him in unison.

Job 40:1: Then the LORD answered Job:

Job 40:2: "Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let the person who accuses God give him an answer!"

Job 40:3: Then Job answered the LORD:

Job 40:4: "Indeed, I am completely unworthy - how could I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth to silence myself.

Job 40:5: I have spoken once, but I cannot answer; twice, but I will say no more."

Job 40:6: Then the LORD answered Job from the whirlwind:

Job 40:7: "Get ready for a difficult task like a man. I will question you and you will inform me!

Job 40:8: Would you indeed annul my justice? Would you declare me guilty so that you might be right?

Job 40:9: Do you have an arm as powerful as God's, and can you thunder with a voice like his?
-
Job 40:10: Adorn yourself, then, with majesty and excellency, and clothe yourself with glory and honor!

Job 40:11: Scatter abroad the abundance of your anger. Look at every proud man and bring him low;
-
Job 40:12: Look at every proud man and abase him; crush the wicked on the spot!
-
Job 40:13: Hide them in the dust together, imprison them in the grave.
-
Job 40:14: Then I myself will acknowledge to you that your own right hand can save you.
-
Job 40:15: "Look now at Behemoth, which I made as I made you; it eats grass like the ox.
-
Job 40:16: Look at its strength in its loins, and its power in the muscles of its belly.
-
Job 40:17: It makes its tail stiff like a cedar, the sinews of its thighs are tightly wound.
-
Job 40:18: Its bones are tubes of bronze, its limbs like bars of iron.
-
Job 40:19: It ranks first among the works of God, the One who made it has furnished it with a sword.
-
Job 40:20: For the hills bring it food, where all the wild animals play.
-
Job 40:21: Under the lotus trees it lies, in the secrecy of the reeds and the marsh.
-
Job 40:22: The lotus trees conceal it in their shadow; the poplars by the stream conceal it.
-
Job 40:23: If the river rages, it is not disturbed, it is secure, though the Jordan should surge up to its mouth.
-
Job 40:24: Can anyone catch it by its eyes, or pierce its nose with a snare?
-
Deuteronomy 32:8: When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided up humankind, he set the boundaries of the peoples, according to the number of the heavenly assembly.

Genesis 10:1: This is the account of Noah's sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.

Genesis 10:2: The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

Genesis 10:3: The sons of Gomer were Askenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

Genesis 10:4: The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, and the Dodanim.

Genesis 10:5: From these the coastlands of the nations were separated into their lands, every one according to its language, according to their families, by their nations.

Genesis 10:6: The sons of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

Genesis 10:7: The sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.

Genesis 10:8: Cush was the father of Nimrod; he began to be a valiant warrior on the earth.

Genesis 10:9: He was a mighty hunter before the LORD. (That is why it is said, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD.")
-
Genesis 10:10: The primary regions of his kingdom were Babel, Erech, Akkad, and Calneh in the land of Shinar.

Genesis 10:11: From that land he went to Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,
-
Genesis 10:12: and Resen, which is between Nineveh and the great city Calah.

Genesis 10:13: Mizraim was the father of the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphtuhites,
-
Genesis 10:14: Pathrusites, Casluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and Caphtorites.
-
Genesis 10:15: Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, Heth,
-
Genesis 10:16: the Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites,
-
Genesis 10:17: Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,
-
Genesis 10:18: Arvadites, Zemarites, and Hamathites. Eventually the families of the Canaanites were scattered
-
Genesis 10:19: and the borders of Canaan extended from Sidon all the way to Gerar as far as Gaza, and all the way to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

Genesis 10:20: These are the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their languages, by their lands, and by their nations.

Genesis 10:21: And sons were also born to Shem (the older brother of Japheth), the father of all the sons of Eber.

Genesis 10:22: The sons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
-
Genesis 10:23: The sons of Aram were Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
-
Genesis 10:24: Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah was the father of Eber.
-
Genesis 10:25: Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother's name was Joktan.

Genesis 10:26: Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
-
Genesis 10:27: Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
-
Genesis 10:28: Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
-
Genesis 10:29: Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.

Genesis 10:30: Their dwelling place was from Mesha all the way to Sephar in the eastern hills.
-
Genesis 10:31: These are the sons of Shem according to their families, according to their languages, by their lands, and according to their nations.
-
Genesis 10:32: These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, by their nations, and from these the nations spread over the earth after the flood.

Genesis 9:1: Then God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.

Genesis 6:1: When humankind began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,

Genesis 6:6: The LORD regretted that he had made humankind on the earth, and he was highly offended.

Genesis 6:7: So the LORD said, "I will wipe humankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth - everything from humankind to animals, including creatures that move on the ground and birds of the air, for I regret that I have made them."

Genesis 6:8: But Noah found favor in the sight of the LORD.

Genesis 6:9: This is the account of Noah. Noah was a godly man; he was blameless among his contemporaries. He walked with God.

Genesis 6:10: Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Genesis 6:11: The earth was ruined in the sight of God; the earth was filled with violence.
-
Genesis 6:12: God saw the earth, and indeed it was ruined, for all living creatures on the earth were sinful.

Genesis 6:13: So God said to Noah, "I have decided that all living creatures must die, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Now I am about to destroy them and the earth.

Genesis 6:14: Make for yourself an ark of cypress wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it with pitch inside and out.

Genesis 6:15: This is how you should make it: The ark is to be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high.

Genesis 6:16: Make a roof for the ark and finish it, leaving 18 inches from the top. Put a door in the side of the ark, and make lower, middle, and upper decks.

Genesis 6:17: I am about to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy from under the sky all the living creatures that have the breath of life in them. Everything that is on the earth will die,

Genesis 6:18: but I will confirm my covenant with you. You will enter the ark - you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you.
-
Genesis 6:19: You must bring into the ark two of every kind of living creature from all flesh, male and female, to keep them alive with you.
-
Genesis 6:20: Of the birds after their kinds, and of the cattle after their kinds, and of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every kind will come to you so you can keep them alive.

Genesis 6:21: And you must take for yourself every kind of food that is eaten, and gather it together. It will be food for you and for them.
-
Genesis 6:22: And Noah did all that God commanded him - he did indeed.

Revelation 1:16: He held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp double-edged sword extended out of his mouth. His face shone like the sun shining at full strength.

Revelation 1:20: The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.
