The scripture memory passages from The Wilds, NC. From 2023.

Verses

  • Daniel 1:8: But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the royal delicacies or the royal wine. He therefore asked the overseer of the court officials for permission not to defile himself.

  • Romans 8:28-29: And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose, because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

  • Genesis 50:20: As for you, you meant to harm me, but God intended it for a good purpose, so he could preserve the lives of many people, as you can see this day.

  • Daniel 3:17-18: If our God whom we are serving exists, he is able to rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire, and he will rescue us, O king, from your power as well. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we don't serve your gods, and we will not pay homage to the golden statue that you have erected."

  • Proverbs 11:2: When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.

  • Isaiah 51:15: I am the LORD your God, who churns up the sea so that its waves surge. The LORD who commands armies is his name!

  • Isaiah 55:8-9: "Indeed, my plans are not like your plans, and my deeds are not like your deeds, for just as the sky is higher than the earth, so my deeds are superior to your deeds and my plans superior to your plans.

  • Daniel 4:3: "How great are his signs! How mighty are his wonders! His kingdom will last forever, and his authority continues from one generation to the next."

  • James 4:6: But he gives greater grace. Therefore it says, "God opposes the proud, but he gives grace to the humble."

  • Proverbs 8:13: The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; I hate arrogant pride and the evil way and perverse utterances.

  • 1 Corinthians 10:12-13: So let the one who thinks he is standing be careful that he does not fall. No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.

  • Daniel 4:34-35: But at the end of the appointed time I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven, and my sanity returned to me. I extolled the Most High, and I praised and glorified the one who lives forever. For his authority is an everlasting authority, and his kingdom extends from one generation to the next. All the inhabitants of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he wishes with the army of heaven and with those who inhabit the earth. No one slaps his hand and says to him, 'What have you done?'

  • 1 Corinthians 10:31: So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.

  • Daniel 6:5: So these men concluded, "We won't find any pretext against this man Daniel unless it is in connection with the law of his God."

  • Daniel 6:10: When Daniel realized that a written decree had been issued, he entered his home, where the windows in his upper room opened toward Jerusalem. Three times daily he was kneeling and offering prayers and thanks to his God just as he had been accustomed to do previously.

  • Daniel 6:20-22: As he approached the den, he called out to Daniel in a worried voice, "Daniel, servant of the living God, was your God whom you continually serve able to rescue you from the lions?" Then Daniel spoke to the king, "O king, live forever! My God sent his angel and closed the lions' mouths so that they have not harmed me, because I was found to be innocent before him. Nor have I done any harm to you, O king."

  • Daniel 6:27-28: He rescues and delivers and performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions!" So this Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

  • Daniel 11:32: Then with smooth words he will defile those who have rejected the covenant. But the people who are loyal to their God will act valiantly.
