Description

As Christians, we always have to remember that the devil and his demons are already defeated foes. Jesus has already defeated Satan at the cross when He was crucified.

Verses

  • Mark 6:7: Jesus called the twelve and began to send them out two by two. He gave them authority over the unclean spirits.

  • Mark 6:13: They cast out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.

  • Mark 16:15-18: He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; they will pick up snakes with their hands, and whatever poison they drink will not harm them; they will place their hands on the sick and they will be well."

  • Luke 4:16-18: Now Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, as was his custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and the regaining of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed,

  • Luke 9:1: After Jesus called the twelve together, he gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases,

  • Luke 10:19: Look, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions and on the full force of the enemy, and nothing will hurt you.

  • Matthew 10:1: Jesus called his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits so they could cast them out and heal every kind of disease and sickness.

  • Matthew 10:6-8: Go instead to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near!' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

  • 1 John 3:8: The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was revealed: to destroy the works of the devil.
