Verses

  • Matthew 19:4-5: He answered, "Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female, and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh'?

  • Genesis 2:24: That is why a man leaves his father and mother and unites with his wife, and they become a new family.

  • Luke 24:27: Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things written about himself in all the scriptures.

  • Luke 24:44: Then he said to them, "These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled."

  • 1 Corinthians 2:13: And we speak about these things, not with words taught us by human wisdom, but with those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people.

  • 1 Corinthians 14:37: If anyone considers himself a prophet or spiritual person, he should acknowledge that what I write to you is the Lord's command.

  • 2 Peter 1:20-21: Above all, you do well if you recognize this: No prophecy of scripture ever comes about by the prophet's own imagination, for no prophecy was ever borne of human impulse; rather, men carried along by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

  • 2 Peter 3:2: I want you to recall both the predictions foretold by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles.

  • 2 Peter 3:15-16: And regard the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as also our dear brother Paul wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him, speaking of these things in all his letters. Some things in these letters are hard to understand, things the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they also do to the rest of the scriptures.

  • Deuteronomy 4:2: Do not add a thing to what I command you nor subtract from it, so that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I am delivering to you.

  • Psalm 19:7-9: The law of the LORD is perfect and preserves one's life. The rules set down by the LORD are reliable and impart wisdom to the inexperienced. The LORD's precepts are fair and make one joyful. The LORD's commands are pure and give insight for life. The commands to fear the LORD are right and endure forever. The judgments given by the LORD are trustworthy and absolutely just.

  • Psalm 19:10-11: They are of greater value than gold, than even a great amount of pure gold; they bring greater delight than honey, than even the sweetest honey from a honeycomb. Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there; those who obey them receive a rich reward.

  • Isaiah 8:20: Then you must recall the LORD's instructions and the prophetic testimony of what would happen. Certainly they say such things because their minds are spiritually darkened.

  • John 15:11: I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete.

  • John 20:30-31: Now Jesus performed many other miraculous signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

  • Acts 17:11: These Jews were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they eagerly received the message, examining the scriptures carefully every day to see if these things were so.

  • 2 Timothy 3:15-17: and how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.

  • 1 John 1:4: Thus we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.
