Verses

  • 1 Corinthians 14:33: for God is not characterized by disorder but by peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

  • Deuteronomy 4:24: For the LORD your God is a consuming fire; he is a jealous God.

  • Hebrews 10:23: And let us hold unwaveringly to the hope that we confess, for the one who made the promise is trustworthy.

  • John 1:1-2: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God. The Word was with God in the beginning.

  • John 1:3-5: All things were created by him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created. In him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. And the light shines on in the darkness, but the darkness has not mastered it.

  • John 1:9-11: The true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was created by him, but the world did not recognize him. He came to what was his own, but his own people did not receive him.

  • John 1:12-14: But to all who have received him - those who believe in his name - he has given the right to become God's children - children not born by human parents or by human desire or a husband's decision, but by God. Now the Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We saw his glory - the glory of the one and only, full of grace and truth, who came from the Father.

  • John 1:17-18: For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came about through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God. The only one, himself God, who is in closest fellowship with the Father, has made God known.

  • Luke 1:30-32: So the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God! Listen: You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.

  • Matthew 3:11: "I baptize you with water, for repentance, but the one coming after me is more powerful than I am - I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

  • Luke 3:5-6: Every valley will be filled, and every mountain and hill will be brought low, and the crooked will be made straight, and the rough ways will be made smooth, and all humanity will see the salvation of God.'"

  • Luke 3:11: John answered them, "The person who has two tunics must share with the person who has none, and the person who has food must do likewise."

  • Luke 3:21-22: Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized. And while he was praying, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, "You are my one dear Son; in you I take great delight."

  • John 4:10: Jesus answered her, "If you had known the gift of God and who it is who said to you, 'Give me some water to drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water."

  • Matthew 4:4: But he answered, "It is written, 'Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

  • Matthew 4:7: Jesus said to him, "Once again it is written: 'You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.'"

  • Matthew 4:10-11: Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan! For it is written: 'You are to worship the Lord your God and serve only him.'" Then the devil left him, and angels came and began ministering to his needs.

  • John 1:29-30: On the next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! This is the one about whom I said, 'After me comes a man who is greater than I am, because he existed before me.'

  • John 1:33-34: And I did not recognize him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water said to me, 'The one on whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining - this is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.' I have both seen and testified that this man is the Chosen One of God."

  • John 2:19: Jesus replied, "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again."

  • John 3:3: Jesus replied, "I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

  • John 3:5-8: Jesus answered, "I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, 'You must all be born from above.' The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."

  • John 3:12-15: If I have told you people about earthly things and you don't believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things? No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven - the Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."

  • John 3:16-18: For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him. The one who believes in him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.

  • John 3:19-21: Now this is the basis for judging: that the light has come into the world and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil deeds hates the light and does not come to the light, so that their deeds will not be exposed. But the one who practices the truth comes to the light, so that it may be plainly evident that his deeds have been done in God.
