Verses

  • Deuteronomy 4:15-18: Be very careful, then, because you saw no form at the time the LORD spoke to you at Horeb from the middle of the fire. I say this so you will not corrupt yourselves by making an image in the form of any kind of figure. This includes the likeness of a human male or female, any kind of land animal, any bird that flies in the sky, anything that crawls on the ground, or any fish in the deep waters of the earth.

  • Deuteronomy 4:19: When you look up to the sky and see the sun, moon, and stars - the whole heavenly creation - you must not be seduced to worship and serve them, for the LORD your God has assigned them to all the people of the world.

  • Luke 24:39: Look at my hands and my feet; it's me! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones like you see I have."

  • John 1:18: No one has ever seen God. The only one, himself God, who is in closest fellowship with the Father, has made God known.

  • John 4:24: God is spirit, and the people who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

  • Acts 17:29: So since we are God's offspring, we should not think the deity is like gold or silver or stone, an image made by human skill and imagination.

  • 1 Kings 8:27: "God does not really live on the earth! Look, if the sky and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this temple I have built!

  • Psalm 139:7-10: Where can I go to escape your spirit? Where can I flee to escape your presence? If I were to ascend to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be. If I were to fly away on the wings of the dawn, and settle down on the other side of the sea, even there your hand would guide me, your right hand would grab hold of me.

  • Psalm 145:3: The LORD is great and certainly worthy of praise! No one can fathom his greatness!

  • Psalm 147:5: Our Lord is great and has awesome power; there is no limit to his wisdom.

  • Jeremiah 23:24: "Do you really think anyone can hide himself where I cannot see him?" the LORD asks. "Do you not know that I am everywhere?" the LORD asks.

  • Romans 11:33-36: Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how fathomless his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor? Or who has first given to God, that God needs to repay him? For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever! Amen.

  • Deuteronomy 33:27: The everlasting God is a refuge, and underneath you are his eternal arms; he has driven out enemies before you, and has said, "Destroy!"

  • Psalm 90:2: Even before the mountains came into existence, or you brought the world into being, you were the eternal God.

  • Psalm 102:12: But you, O LORD, rule forever, and your reputation endures.

  • Psalm 102:24-27: I say, "O my God, please do not take me away in the middle of my life! You endure through all generations. In earlier times you established the earth; the skies are your handiwork. They will perish, but you will endure. They will wear out like a garment; like clothes you will remove them and they will disappear. But you remain; your years do not come to an end.

  • Revelation 1:4: From John, to the seven churches that are in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from "he who is," and who was, and who is still to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,

  • Revelation 1:8: "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God - the one who is, and who was, and who is still to come - the All-Powerful!

  • Psalm 33:11: The LORD's decisions stand forever; his plans abide throughout the ages.

  • Malachi 3:6: "Since, I, the LORD, do not go back on my promises, you, sons of Jacob, have not perished.

  • Hebrews 1:12: and like a robe you will fold them up and like a garment they will be changed, but you are the same and your years will never run out."

  • Hebrews 6:17-18: In the same way God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable, and so he intervened with an oath, so that we who have found refuge in him may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.

  • Psalm 115:2-3: Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?" Our God is in heaven! He does whatever he pleases!

  • 1 Timothy 1:17: Now to the eternal king, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever! Amen.

  • 1 Timothy 6:15-16: - whose appearing the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, will reveal at the right time. He alone possesses immortality and lives in unapproachable light, whom no human has ever seen or is able to see. To him be honor and eternal power! Amen.

  • Psalm 104:24: How many living things you have made, O LORD! You have exhibited great skill in making all of them; the earth is full of the living things you have made.

  • Romans 11:33-34: Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how fathomless his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?

  • Hebrews 4:13: And no creature is hidden from God, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account.

  • Jeremiah 32:17: 'Oh, Lord God, you did indeed make heaven and earth by your mighty power and great strength. Nothing is too hard for you!

  • Matthew 19:26: Jesus looked at them and replied, "This is impossible for mere humans, but for God all things are possible."

  • Hebrews 1:13: But to which of the angels has he ever said, "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet"?

  • 1 Peter 1:15-16: but, like the Holy One who called you, become holy yourselves in all of your conduct, for it is written, "You shall be holy, because I am holy."

  • 1 John 3:3: And everyone who has this hope focused on him purifies himself, just as Jesus is pure).

  • Revelation 15:4: Who will not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name, because you alone are holy? All nations will come and worship before you for your righteous acts have been revealed."

  • Exodus 34:6-7: The LORD passed by before him and proclaimed: "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, and abounding in loyal love and faithfulness, keeping loyal love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. But he by no means leaves the guilty unpunished, responding to the transgression of fathers by dealing with children and children's children, to the third and fourth generation."

  • Deuteronomy 32:4: As for the Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. He is a reliable God who is never unjust, he is fair and upright.

  • Psalm 96:13: before the LORD, for he comes! For he comes to judge the earth! He judges the world fairly, and the nations in accordance with his justice.

  • Romans 3:5: But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? The God who inflicts wrath is not unrighteous, is he? (I am speaking in human terms.)

  • Romans 3:26: This was also to demonstrate his righteousness in the present time, so that he would be just and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesus' faithfulness.

  • Psalm 103:5: who satisfies your life with good things, so your youth is renewed like an eagle's.

  • Psalm 107:8: Let them give thanks to the LORD for his loyal love, and for the amazing things he has done for people!

  • Matthew 19:17: He said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."

  • Romans 2:4: Or do you have contempt for the wealth of his kindness, forbearance, and patience, and yet do not know that God's kindness leads you to repentance?

  • Exodus 34:6: The LORD passed by before him and proclaimed: "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, and abounding in loyal love and faithfulness,

  • Psalm 86:15: But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and merciful God. You are patient and demonstrate great loyal love and faithfulness.

  • Psalm 117:2: For his loyal love towers over us, and the LORD's faithfulness endures. Praise the LORD!

  • Hebrews 6:18: so that we who have found refuge in him may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.
