Hi Peter, I was already quite familiar with many of these verses, so it's not as hard as you may think. One verse a day is still very good.
Thanks for the invitation, Robinshe. The competitive side of me would like to join the leaderboard, but I don't want to fall into the error Jesus talked about in Matt 6:1
I´m studying Matthew and so far have only come as far as Matthew 5.... maybe it shows? No, I started out enjoying a little competition and finding it motivating to keep me going, but now I mostly just enjoy the company. But full respect for your choice, nice to "meet" you here anyways.
Hi Robinshe, Yes, it is lovely to find a community of believers who love God's word and want to memorize it. What inspired you to start memorizing scripture?
I´ve grown up reading different parts of the Bible, but I got tired of remembering a verse and not knowing exactly where to find it, or remembering something along the lines of a particular topic, but not knowing exactly what the verse said. But as I began with this app, I started to really appreciate how you can discover completely new things even in familiar passages, when you force yourself to slow down and learn one verse at a time. And keeping track of how many days in a row you learn has gradually given me the discipline that I have always before lacked to set apart some time for Bible reading every day.
