Hello Annette! Are you going through Romans these days? I'm working on the Gospel of Mark ...

Hi Joosep. Yes, Romans along with quite a few others including Mark. I like learning new verses mostly, but it is very time consuming to keep practicing them all! Bit of a dilemma :)

Yes. I think I know how you feel -- I too like learning new verses. So, I've been following a new (new for me, anyway) learning strategy since I came back to this site. I'm not thinking so much about clearing my review queue, but rather using an Excel spreadsheet to track my progress through Mark, John, and Revelation in order. I practice 2 or 3 chapters a day for about two or three days -- for example, perhaps Mark 1-3 for a couple of days, then Mark 2-4, then Mark 3-5, each for a couple of days, until I think I know them well. When I finish Revelation, I'll come back to Mark and go through that same cycle more quickly, until I feel confident enough about them to move on to other books of the Bible.

I'm finding it to be an enormously rich experience, I'm noticing so many things I never noticed. I also do at least one "old" set per day from my very long review queue. Yes, I realize that my review queue will probably never be cleared, but ... well, it's just my own approach to studying God's word :) God bless you and take care.

Thank you Joosep. That sounds rewarding and perhaps I should also take a new approach rather than the task oriented one I have been doing of late to get through my review list! You've got me thinking. It is hard to let the verses sit there though, haha. I could let them sit there however - if I let them get out of hand like yours have! Hmm, you have given me an idea ....

ok :) I hope it's helpful. Pray, and God will show you how to handle it :)

It's helpful to share the different ways to get the best out of learnscripture. I can't cope with a big review pile but it is food for thought. Might try it at some point.

Here is something I have been doing to get through my review list quicker (though maybe everyone else already does it); I have two tabs open, work on a chapter on one tab and frequently refresh a 2nd tab. When I have finished the verse they want me to practice, the chapter will disappear from the review list on the 2nd tab. So then I refresh or close the 1st tab and move on to the next chapter in the queue.

I also have a long learning list with many chapters I am working on. I purposely do not finish the last verse so that it does not go into my practice queue! When I have time, I work on these. :)
