I read these comments earlier today, and what came to my mind was the word "refuge", or hiding place; how this world is a very very troubling place to live in, BUT, in God and in His word we may take refuge. That's what I feel is being expressed here.
------------
Psalm 5:11
But let all who take refuge in You be glad, Let them ever sing for joy; And may You shelter them, That those who love Your name may exult in You.
Psalm 7:1
O LORD my God, in You I have taken refuge; Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
Psalm 16:1
Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You.
Psalm 17:7
Wondrously show Your lovingkindness, O Savior of those who take refuge at Your right hand From those who rise up against them.
Psalm 18:2
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18:30
As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
Psalm 25:20
Guard my soul and deliver me; Do not let me be ashamed, for I take refuge in You.
Psalm 31:1
For the choir director. A Psalm of David. In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge; Let me never be ashamed; In Your righteousness deliver me.
Psalm 31:19
How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who fear You, Which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of men!
Psalm 34:8
O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
