Thank you JDJDJD. I'm actually not using that spreadsheet anymore, I've taken a different approach, but I'm still here and still seeking to internalize God's Word. Good to see you back, JDJDJD!

It looks like I’ve been neglecting this group. I’m sincerely sorry. I’ll try to remember to check back here. I’ll add Dino Dan today. (I need my computer for that).
Also I’ve only just seen you message Joosep with your spread sheet in. Wow. What a wonderful tool. I would never have thought of those columns. I think in time I could create something similar which may be the way forward for me. Although I’m using other tools at the moment to read God’s word I want to get back to using learn scripture properly. It’s been a huge help over the years. Helping me to meditate on scripture and get to know God better.

I'm also working on passages / chapters in larger chunks. It's just what seems right to me in the Lord, at this moment of time :)

To JDJDJD: I promised a while ago that I'd create a blog post explaining how I use my spreadsheet to manage my LS queue. Well, I've finally done it. Thank you all, and especially you, joosep. My emotions are up and down, but the power and sharpness of God's Word never changes. I need to take more time to meditate on what I am memorizing, but I also need to have patience with myself. I don't know if it's happened to any of you, but sometimes I open up the Scriptures, pray to find something for my soul, and get absolutely nothing. Other times, God reveals such wondrous things that I cry! Fruit will come in due time, and God will give me what I need when I need it. Patience.

It's so good to know that I'm not alone, but that there are others who experience the same feelings and are able to help/encourage me along. Thank you all so much!!!

Meditate on God’s word. Don’t just recite it, but prayerfully, slowly, dwell on the words. Think through them and what they mean, and pray that God will speak to you through them.

Your time of memorizing and your time of meditating on God’s word are not the same time. One is academic, that we do repeatedly with a goal in mind, to memorize the words. The other comes after we have them memorized, and is more thoughtful and slow and intentional.
