Lne, I hope we haven't offended you. I understand now that you are not against Christmas. :) I would like to know why you said you try to believe in the Bible, that's a curious way of putting it.
Our family is getting together on Christmas Eve. My boyfriend may be in town too so that will be nice, I don't get to see him nearly enough. What about you, DogLover? What's your favorite Christmas tradition? Mine is singing :)
look up the story behind the other translations. look up the codexes behind them and the history of the codexes. However, what I mean by I think they are sad, is I don't think they have quite the same level of accuracy or even the same feel. If you like the ESV, go for it. If NKJV is what floats your boat, good for you. I'm just saying that for me, personally, KJV is the only one that I like.
Even if He wasn't born on the 25th, which he might not have been, I think that you bring good out of something that others meant for evil. It happened in the Bible itself, to Joseph. What his brothers meant for evil, God used for good. God can use anything to further his kingdom. Even pagan holidays; they don't have to be pagan. In my culture, a Christian culture, Christmas is a time of year to celebrate Jesus' birth.
Hey, I just noticed that you have over a million points in the last 7 days and I wanted to congratulate you. I love how much effort and time you put into memorization. It's an inspiration for everyone! Keep up the good work! Godbless
Hey Treeswallow, I was listening to this chapter last night and I think that the reason he did this is to give them "special" power that was different than the other Christians.
I have Genesis 1, Psalm 23, 80 verses from a youth event, and about a hundred more I am working on. Also, I plan to start Isaiah 14 very soon. I want to do more but I've been sick lately so it hasn't been easy. God is good.
