Oh no. That’s tough. If you can remember which it is and add it again the streak will come back. But it sounds like you’ve tried that. I’m at peace about my broken streak too. If I get to my 3 years, I worry that I will stop adding a verse a day. And I benefit so much from that. I was thanking the Lord a day or two ago that I’m back at the beginning and have 3 years (or longer!) ahead of me of adding a verse a day and being blessed by it.

Hello JDJD! I just need to tell you that unfortunately, my streak got broken. I was cancelling some of the individual verses without realizing that I cancelled one which was a part of the streak. And then I couldn't remember exactly which verse it was.
So now I am at 107.

thanks for your encouragment, and I agree with you. Part of the problem, I think, was that I was learning an individual version in a Bible version which I don't usually use. So not only am I not sure about the verse, I'm also not sure about the version. I tried to "re-add" it for ten minutes ago, but then felt like it was ok to just accept it.

I’m at 1,066 day streak…with a new verse a day…and like you JDJD am being blessed…I also did the book of Colossians…what a blessing when you really understand what the New Testament is really saying…it’s true “every blessing in heavenly places, in Christ”

Amen. What do we have that we have not received? I appreciate everyone’s encouragement. It is exciting to see the body of Christ in action….one with this grace …another with something different…but all lifting up Christ Jesus the Lord. Amen

Hi Joosep. My streak is at 420. I’m very thankful it’s still intact as I’ve had a couple of close calls. I’m more likely to miss the daily deadline in the winter months as after the clocks change (uk) I have to have my verse done an hour earlier. And yet I tend to do it last thing at night. I love going to bed with my mind full of scripture. So I’m nervous about getting through these winter months until the clocks change again in the spring. Thanks for the check-in

Hello again, I sympathize with that nervousness! Thank you for that update. You made me think about trying to make a habit of doing some verses before going to sleep, because I've experienced that too, falling asleep with verses going through my mind. However I usually do my reviews early in the morning or during the daytime. I'm now today at 432. I'll check in with you again soon and may the Lord bless you!

I just added one new verse a moment ago, so I'm at 392. I think I probably did say at one point that John 8 is my favorite chapter of John. Now it's a little hard to say, there are many chapters which are my "favorites". Here are some phrases / sentences which (I pray, for the rest of my life) will stick in my mind from that chapter. Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more. I am the light of the world. You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free. If anyone keeps my word he will never see death. Before Abraham was born, I am.
And I do love adding just one verse a day and staying in a passage for a long time. I understand more and more each time I go through it. It’s really helping my faith to grow. God is so gracious to give me this website to help me.
