Just as long as you keep your focus on the right thing, I am sorry, the right Person, there shouldn't be anything wrong with what you are doing. I will be praying that you can get through the trials and temptations that come your way.
Hello brothers and sisters in Christ! In just over a month, I am going to go to Kenya 🇰🇪, Africa. I am going with my Grandpa to help some missionaries with some construction work and other ministry. I will also be preaching at a prayer meeting while I’m there. So pray for safety, going well of things, and opportunities to share God’s love. Thanks and God Bless!
Now for Molin. Rom. 3:23 tells me I am a sinner. So did my backside. John 3:16 and John 14:6 I believe tells there is one way: Jesus The Bible says that whosoever shall call on him shall be saved. I did that. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved” I did that. I didn’t say any special prayer, I didn’t do any special ritual, or make a certain promise; I asked God to save me and he did. That was that. I was saved at the age of 5 and baptized at 7.
I will answer Lne first. Yes I do. There is nothing in the Bible that mentions sprinkling, bucket dump or whatever. All I know is that Jesus and John the Baptist both went down INTO the water. Same with Philip and the Ethiopian.
I do completely agree with Lne. I am going to put myself out there, so if you want to bash me, I am gonna expose myself. I am a Baptist. I believe that baptism is by immersion as a public example in Christ. There are many verses out there that make people think that baptism is apart of salvation, but the thing is, that would make it a works based salvation. Baptism is an action that gets you wet. It doesn’t make you holier, it doesn’t save you, it just shows that you ARE ALREADY a Christian to those around you. I don’t want this to become another relationship breaker. I have slot of respect for certain people on here, no matter their stand on things. I just believe what I have been shown by God’s word.
Another thing. Doing the same thing gets monotonous. Unless it is the right thing and your doing it out of a true love for God and man. If it does get boring, like you guys have said, than what is your focus on, what drives you? One thing that gets talked about that I have seen is the issue of the scoring and badges and such. I know that can be an issue of that is what your focus is on. Like getting a long streak or some important badge. But if you put that aside, it can be a great encouragement. Seeing that your actually getting something done. And one of my favorite things about this site other than it being a good addiction site😊 but the groups and chats. Interactive with fellow believers and memorizers is amazing. The encouragement from “Iron sharpening Iron” is something that can’t always be explained. So thank you guys for always being there. This is my only “social media”. I love it. God bless!
It is incredible how a little break can give us a new perspective. I know I am giving small examples, but they are very good examples.
My mom and I used to do large puzzles. Every now and then, we would get stuck. We would leave for a bit and than come back. And guess what? We found out where pieces go for the next five minutes and then got stuck again. 😅
Another example is school. I don’t know if this has happened to you, but it’s happened to me. I would get stuck in a question, mainly math 😀 and I would think and think and think and…you get the picture. I would go get a drink or do a different subject and than get back to that question. And I was able to figure it out!!!!
When you think about giving up, don’t. Instead, If you can’t seem to get it. Take a BREAK, calm down, look at the good things in life, and than get back to it. One thing that always works is PRAYER. God is always there if you have a problem, no matter how small or large it is.
What is interesting (not coincidental mind you) that this passage is a passage I learned last week at summer camp. It was the theme passage actually. A very good one to memorize. 👍🏼
