What I meant is that I believe the Bible. And the at least I try part was supposed to mean that I at least try to obey the Bible. Sorry it was so confusing.
Also, I can see why you misunderstood the post where I asked WHY?. I was not responding to the posts by you, Calli2022, and Snapple Lover. Instead, I was reacting to the posts by the members of this group, such as VirtuousPurity and JoshuaAdamHartinger. Once again, sorry for the misunderstanding.
DogLover, I was never a member of this group nor do I intend to join it in the future. I came here in the first place because I saw the link on the Ideas and Debates Directory Group. When I read the posts on here I disagreed with what this group stands for, and so I posted my opinions. I am sorry you misunderstood me.
@DogLover, I do trust trust what the Bible says, or at least I try. Where in the Bible does it say anything about Jesus's birth being in December? Also, remember, I am not going against Christmas.
Also, VirtuousPurity says earlier that REAL Christians read the King James Bible. What is it that make the KJV "better" than all the other translations? It wasn't the original bible even, and it was printed by a king that was not exactly a good person in order to make a translation printed by a true Christian less popular!
I am totally on the side of celebrating Christmas. But, it appears to me that people on both sides need to calm down a little. Be patient with the brethren as per Romans 14. 1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. 2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. I know that Jesus was not born on December 25, but we don't know exactly when he was born. Because of that Christians just chose to celebrate His birth on that date.
