Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts.
Jeremiah 15:16 (NASB)
Please note, it's very important to consider the context of Jeremiah as a whole. This was a time of unthinkable suffering for Judah. At the moment I'm listening to a reading of Jeremiah and the reader is conveying that pain very accurately. Yet in spite of that, Jeremiah said, "Your Words were found and I ate them". This is a challenge to all of us to do the same. Of course, that's why were are here at this website :) To "eat" God's Word.
I agree wholeheartedly with Rose2022 and FinalAsgard. The badges etc. are indeed good for initial motivation, but in the end what we all need is to fall in love with our God and live with a daily and consistent love and adoration of Him and His Word.
"My heart easily wanders". Quoting you here, Vadernader. Me too. That's why I originally joined this site. Because my attention so easily wanders. My heart too. By focusing word by word on what God has said ... by using this site ... it's really been a great benefit to me personally.
