yes Peter have been working my way through John. I love that John focuses on encounters that people have with Jesus. At the moment while reviewing the crucifixion narrative I have been struck by some things , 3 crosses, 3 pronouncements of innocence by Pilate, 3 times written King of the Jews on the cross. and i am sure there are more yet to discover. Also it amazed me that the Roman soldiers and others involved were fulfilling ancient prophecies as they were following their orders , Truly amazing
Have you worked your way through the whole gospel? How have you found it? I just managed that, 6 months ago, although it took me several years to get there! I’ve really appreciated John’s attention to the detail of Jesus’ teaching, and the way that some characters, like Nicodemus, recur through the gospel. Now I find a section of John in my review queue most days. It will take a loooong time, if ever, before it’s all ‘fully learned’!

What I love about the book of John is that he takes time with his descriptions of peoples encounters with Jesus. I am up to Chapter 17 in my learning. It is a great blessing
