God's Word is so great! My mind isn't so good at perfectly recalling verses, but it's a movement in the right direction just to think on them. Thanks, all!

This happened more than 3 weeks ago, and I missed it. Well done! I agree with you when you said, "it's a movement in the right direction just to think on them". I do believe that God will bless that thinking. I believe that thinking on God's Word is a big part of our sanctification process. John 17:17 is my reference.
1 Corinthians 2:16 says we have the mind of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says to take every thought captive. Don't believe the lies of the enemy. Your mind was crafted to memorize scripture and keep it available as a sword and a shield to fight the good fight. You're doing awesome, you're dedicated, disciplined and making great progress!
And I’ve only just seen it too. Huge congratulations. It is so hard to get so far without ever missing a day. And yes it’s so good to be memorising scripture so it is available as a shield to fight the good fight of faith. Stay blessed. 🎉
Yes, I noticed you were using his set. But thank you anyway for bringing it to our attention by starting the learning. It was apropros for me this morning. Glory to God!
Thanks to both of you. At some point I'll need to stop adding new verses and try to solidify most of these. I certainly can't recite all of them today.

Thanks to both of you. I've enjoyed slowly grabbing verses from much of the Bible. I hope to get through all of it by the time 3 years comes. That's the goal, but God will knock me off the plan if that's best.

I agree with you on how expansively we want to pursue knowing God: His commands, mercy, desires, Word, anger, mighty acts, outstretched arm, and so many things. I'm transitioning to thinking about His Word, commands and desires as a way to learn what kind of God we serve, in addition to my usual desire to obey and believe. He loves us so I'd like to better grasp what kind of God we serve through what He's revealed to us.
Maybe we can share why we're trying to memorize Scripture. I'm wanting to become familiar with most of God's Word as a correction for my sinful thoughts and ideas.
