Verses

  • Genesis 1:1: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

  • Genesis 1:2: Now the earth was without shape and empty, and darkness was over the surface of the watery deep, but the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water.

  • Genesis 1:3: God said, "Let there be light." And there was light!

  • Genesis 1:4: God saw that the light was good, so God separated the light from the darkness.

  • Genesis 1:5: God called the light "day" and the darkness "night." There was evening, and there was morning, marking the first day.

  • Psalm 19:7: The law of the LORD is perfect and preserves one's life. The rules set down by the LORD are reliable and impart wisdom to the inexperienced.

  • Psalm 19:8: The LORD's precepts are fair and make one joyful. The LORD's commands are pure and give insight for life.

  • Psalm 19:9: The commands to fear the LORD are right and endure forever. The judgments given by the LORD are trustworthy and absolutely just.

  • Psalm 19:10: They are of greater value than gold, than even a great amount of pure gold; they bring greater delight than honey, than even the sweetest honey from a honeycomb.

  • Psalm 19:11: Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there; those who obey them receive a rich reward.

  • Isaiah 53:1: Who would have believed what we just heard? When was the LORD's power revealed through him?

  • Isaiah 53:2: He sprouted up like a twig before God, like a root out of parched soil; he had no stately form or majesty that might catch our attention, no special appearance that we should want to follow him.

  • Isaiah 53:3: He was despised and rejected by people, one who experienced pain and was acquainted with illness; people hid their faces from him; he was despised, and we considered him insignificant.

  • Isaiah 53:4: But he lifted up our illnesses, he carried our pain; even though we thought he was being punished, attacked by God, and afflicted for something he had done.

  • Isaiah 53:5: He was wounded because of our rebellious deeds, crushed because of our sins; he endured punishment that made us well; because of his wounds we have been healed.

  • Isaiah 53:6: All of us had wandered off like sheep; each of us had strayed off on his own path, but the LORD caused the sin of all of us to attack him.

  • Isaiah 55:6: Seek the LORD while he makes himself available; call to him while he is nearby!

  • Isaiah 55:7: The wicked need to abandon their lifestyle and sinful people their plans. They should return to the LORD, and he will show mercy to them, and to their God, for he will freely forgive them.

  • Isaiah 55:8: "Indeed, my plans are not like your plans, and my deeds are not like your deeds,

  • Isaiah 55:9: for just as the sky is higher than the earth, so my deeds are superior to your deeds and my plans superior to your plans.

  • Isaiah 55:10: The rain and snow fall from the sky and do not return, but instead water the earth and make it produce and yield crops, and provide seed for the planter and food for those who must eat.

  • Isaiah 55:11: In the same way, the promise that I make does not return to me, having accomplished nothing. No, it is realized as I desire and is fulfilled as I intend."

  • Matthew 22:35: And one of them, an expert in religious law, asked him a question to test him:

  • Matthew 22:36: "Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?"

  • Matthew 22:37: Jesus said to him, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'

  • Matthew 22:38: This is the first and greatest commandment.

  • Matthew 22:39: The second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

  • Matthew 22:40: All the law and the prophets depend on these two commandments."

  • John 3:14: Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

  • John 3:15: so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."

  • John 3:16: For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

  • John 3:17: For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

  • John 3:18: The one who believes in him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.

  • 2 Timothy 3:14: You, however, must continue in the things you have learned and are confident about. You know who taught you

  • 2 Timothy 3:15: and how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16: Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

  • 2 Timothy 3:17: that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.

  • 1 John 1:5: Now this is the gospel message we have heard from him and announce to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.

  • 1 John 1:6: If we say we have fellowship with him and yet keep on walking in the darkness, we are lying and not practicing the truth.

  • 1 John 1:7: But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

  • 1 John 1:8: If we say we do not bear the guilt of sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.

  • 1 John 1:9: But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness.

  • 1 John 1:10: If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us.

  • Revelation 22:18: I testify to the one who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.

  • Revelation 22:19: And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.

  • Deuteronomy 8:18: You must remember the LORD your God, for he is the one who gives ability to get wealth; if you do this he will confirm his covenant that he made by oath to your ancestors, even as he has to this day.

  • 1 Chronicles 16:12: Recall the miraculous deeds he performed, his mighty acts and the judgments he decreed,

  • Ecclesiastes 12:1: So remember your Creator in the days of your youth - before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you will say, "I have no pleasure in them";

  • Jude 1:17: But you, dear friends - recall the predictions foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Psalm 119:11: In my heart I store up your words, so I might not sin against you.
