Verses

  • Ecclesiastes 10:10: If an iron axhead is blunt and a workman does not sharpen its edge, he must exert a great deal of effort; so wisdom has the advantage of giving success.

  • Deuteronomy 4:2: Do not add a thing to what I command you nor subtract from it, so that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I am delivering to you.

  • 1 Timothy 4:15: Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that everyone will see your progress.

  • James 1:22: But be sure you live out the message and do not merely listen to it and so deceive yourselves.

  • Proverbs 4:4-5: he taught me, and he said to me: "Let your heart lay hold of my words; keep my commands so that you will live. Acquire wisdom, acquire understanding; do not forget and do not turn aside from the words I speak.

  • 2 Timothy 2:15: Make every effort to present yourself before God as a proven worker who does not need to be ashamed, teaching the message of truth accurately.

  • Isaiah 28:9-10: Who is the LORD trying to teach? To whom is he explaining a message? Those just weaned from milk! Those just taken from their mother's breast! Indeed, they will hear meaningless gibberish, senseless babbling, a syllable here, a syllable there.

  • Deuteronomy 6:6: These words I am commanding you today must be kept in mind,

  • John 8:31-32: Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him, "If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

  • Hebrews 3:13-14: But exhort one another each day, as long as it is called "Today," that none of you may become hardened by sin's deception. For we have become partners with Christ, if in fact we hold our initial confidence firm until the end.
