Description

Why we need a Savior.

Verses

  • Psalm 51:5: Look, I was guilty of sin from birth, a sinner the moment my mother conceived me.

  • John 3:5-7: Jesus answered, "I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, 'You must all be born from above.'

  • Genesis 6:5: But the LORD saw that the wickedness of humankind had become great on the earth. Every inclination of the thoughts of their minds was only evil all the time.

  • Genesis 8:21: And the LORD smelled the soothing aroma and said to himself, "I will never again curse the ground because of humankind, even though the inclination of their minds is evil from childhood on. I will never again destroy everything that lives, as I have just done.

  • Ecclesiastes 9:3: This is the unfortunate fact about everything that happens on earth: the same fate awaits everyone. In addition to this, the hearts of all people are full of evil, and there is folly in their hearts during their lives - then they die.

  • Jeremiah 13:23: But there is little hope for you ever doing good, you who are so accustomed to doing evil. Can an Ethiopian change the color of his skin? Can a leopard remove its spots?

  • Jeremiah 17:9: The human mind is more deceitful than anything else. It is incurably bad. Who can understand it?

  • Matthew 12:35: The good person brings good things out of his good treasury, and the evil person brings evil things out of his evil treasury.

  • Mark 7:21-23: For from within, out of the human heart, come evil ideas, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, evil, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, pride, and folly. All these evils come from within and defile a person."

  • John 3:19: Now this is the basis for judging: that the light has come into the world and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil.

  • Romans 8:7-8: because the outlook of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God, nor is it able to do so. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

  • 1 Corinthians 2:14: The unbeliever does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. And he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

  • Ephesians 4:18-19: They are darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts. Because they are callous, they have given themselves over to indecency for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.

  • Titus 1:15: All is pure to those who are pure. But to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

  • John 8:44: You people are from your father the devil, and you want to do what your father desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

  • Romans 3:10-12: just as it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one, there is no one who understands, there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, together they have become worthless; there is no one who shows kindness, not even one."

  • Psalm 130:3: If you, O LORD, were to keep track of sins, O Lord, who could stand before you?
