Some of my personal favorite Bible verses. Everyone needs to learn these!

Verses

  • Genesis 1:1: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

  • Genesis 1:2: Now the earth was without shape and empty, and darkness was over the surface of the watery deep, but the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water.

  • Genesis 1:3: God said, "Let there be light." And there was light!

  • Genesis 1:4: God saw that the light was good, so God separated the light from the darkness.

  • Genesis 1:5: God called the light "day" and the darkness "night." There was evening, and there was morning, marking the first day.

  • Psalm 24:7: Look up, you gates! Rise up, you eternal doors! Then the majestic king will enter!

  • Psalm 24:8: Who is this majestic king? The LORD who is strong and mighty! The LORD who is mighty in battle!

  • Psalm 24:9: Look up, you gates! Rise up, you eternal doors! Then the majestic king will enter!

  • Psalm 24:10: Who is this majestic king? The LORD who commands armies! He is the majestic king! (Selah)

  • Psalm 118:26: May the one who comes in the name of the LORD be blessed! We will pronounce blessings on you in the LORD's temple.

  • Matthew 24:12: and because lawlessness will increase so much, the love of many will grow cold.

  • Matthew 25:31: "When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.

  • John 14:1: "Do not let your hearts be distressed. You believe in God; believe also in me.

  • John 14:2: There are many dwelling places in my Father's house. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going away to make ready a place for you.

  • John 14:3: And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that where I am you may be too.

  • John 14:4: And you know the way where I am going."

  • John 14:5: Thomas said, "Lord, we don't know where you are going. How can we know the way?"

  • John 14:6: Jesus replied, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

  • Romans 5:8: But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

  • Romans 12:1: Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice - alive, holy, and pleasing to God - which is your reasonable service.

  • Romans 12:2: Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God - what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.

  • Galatians 5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

  • Galatians 5:23: gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

  • Galatians 6:2: Carry one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

  • Ephesians 5:8: for you were at one time darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light -

  • Ephesians 5:9: for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth -

  • Ephesians 5:10: trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.

  • Philippians 2:4: Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well.

  • Philippians 2:5: You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had,

  • Philippians 2:6: who though he existed in the form of God did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped,

  • Philippians 2:7: but emptied himself by taking on the form of a slave, by looking like other men, and by sharing in human nature.

  • Philippians 2:8: He humbled himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death - even death on a cross!

  • Philippians 2:9: As a result God exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name,

  • Philippians 2:10: so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow - in heaven and on earth and under the earth -

  • Philippians 2:11: and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

  • Philippians 4:6: Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.

  • Philippians 4:7: And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

  • Philippians 4:8: Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.

  • Colossians 3:17: And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

  • 2 Thessalonians 3:16: Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16: Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

  • 2 Timothy 3:17: that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.

  • James 1:17: All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.

  • Revelation 5:12: all of whom were singing in a loud voice: "Worthy is the lamb who was killed to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and praise!"

  • Revelation 5:13: Then I heard every creature - in heaven, on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and all that is in them - singing: "To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb be praise, honor, glory, and ruling power forever and ever!"

  • Revelation 5:14: And the four living creatures were saying "Amen," and the elders threw themselves to the ground and worshiped.
