Description

The sin problem and God's remedy through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ

Verses

  • 1 John 3:4: Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; indeed, sin is lawlessness.

  • Romans 3:23: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

  • Romans 6:23: For the payoff of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  • Hebrews 9:22: Indeed according to the law almost everything was purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

  • Romans 5:8: But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

  • Psalm 32:5: Then I confessed my sin; I no longer covered up my wrongdoing. I said, "I will confess my rebellious acts to the LORD." And then you forgave my sins. (Selah)

  • John 3:16-19: For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him. The one who believes in him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. Now this is the basis for judging: that the light has come into the world and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil.

  • 1 John 1:9: But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness.

  • Acts 3:19: Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out,

  • Ezekiel 18:30: "Therefore I will judge each person according to his conduct, O house of Israel, declares the sovereign LORD. Repent and turn from all your wickedness; then it will not be an obstacle leading to iniquity.

  • Ezekiel 33:15: He returns what was taken in pledge, pays back what he has stolen, and follows the statutes that give life, committing no iniquity. He will certainly live - he will not die.
