Hear, believe, repent, confess, be baptized

Verses

  • Romans 10:13-14: For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them?

  • Romans 10:17: Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word of Christ.

  • Mark 16:16: The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.

  • John 8:24: Thus I told you that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins."

  • Acts 16:31: They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household."

  • Acts 17:30: Therefore, although God has overlooked such times of ignorance, he now commands all people everywhere to repent,

  • Romans 10:9-10: because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation.

  • Acts 2:38: Peter said to them, "Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
