Description

In a Solid Joys Podcast titled "How Can I Be Filled with Spirit?," John Piper answers that very question by saying that we can b experience the Holy Spirit's out-pouring when we meditate day and night on the incomparable, hope giving promises of God.

This verse set is a collection of some of the Bible's great and very precious promises, to be fodder for continual meditation.

Verses

  • Isaiah 41:10: Don't be afraid, for I am with you! Don't be frightened, for I am your God! I strengthen you - yes, I help you - yes, I uphold you with my saving right hand!

  • Jeremiah 32:40-41: I will make a lasting covenant with them that I will never stop doing good to them. I will fill their hearts and minds with respect for me so that they will never again turn away from me. I will take delight in doing good to them. I will faithfully and wholeheartedly plant them firmly in the land.'

  • Romans 8:32: Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all - how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?

  • John 15:7: If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you.

  • John 3:16: For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

  • Matthew 28:20: teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

  • Philippians 4:19: And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

  • 2 Corinthians 9:8: And God is able to make all grace overflow to you so that because you have enough of everything in every way at all times, you will overflow in every good work.

  • Luke 14:14: Then you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

  • Matthew 5:8: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
